Hey Dawn and Luis,

I agree with you 100% about Janice. (That also is my non-biased, non-major crush, female opinion!) Some people just have that natural beauty that doesn't need to be all made up. But the most important thing is that Janice has that inner beauty, which in the end is a lot more important than the outward appearance. That's hard to remember sometimes when we look at people, but it's the way it should be. That's just my opinion!

Dawn and Luis...that is so nice of you to say. I have to let you in on a secret: I'm not a big fan of hair and makeup! As much as I love the ladies that help me out everyday at Fox, I wish I didn't have to wear it! :) One of the nicest things about being on vacation is a break from the tv look!

Has anyone but me noticed how our Goddess seems more beautiful when she "lets her hair down" and shares photos of herself away from the studio? :)

Is it just my biased opinion (major crush) or do my fellow bloggers agree :)

Fun trips....

Hmmm...Hawaii this past Christmas

Alaskan cruise a couple of years ago...It was a 50-40-40 birthday celebration with my sister and sister-like-friend who used to live with us when my sister and I were kids and hospitals were part of the family scene....

Disneyland...World and all similar parks....my hardware means I GET CUTTIES!!! no waiting in line for Space Mountain...Star Tours...You name it.... HA!!...Its the one and only time that I have found my hardware is an advantage ;)

When I lived in UT my sister came out to visit....When she flew into Salt Lake and we rented a car I asked her how tired she was...She said she slept on the plane and they asked why??

I told her Vegas was only a 6 hour drive :P 8-)

VEGAS surprise trips always are a good thing...

In my family (well me and my sister(s) like doing "mystery" trips....Means one of us sets up something and surprises the other...The whole Disney trip was a mystery birthday trip for my sister's 30th....She had no idea where we were going...HA!

Hey Sunny,

Thanks for your list. It really does make you think. Your scuba diving adventure sounds great! That would be fascinating. I love underwater stuff. I took a glass bottom boat sightseeing trip out of Key West when I was in Florida many moons ago. That was great. I would love to go to the Great Barrier Reef or some place like that. I guess I would need to learn to scuba dive first, however. I haven't been to Denver or near that area, but I would love to go there sometime. The Rockies are beautiful and I know I could take hundreds of pictures!

And Deb, your trip to Florida sounds like fun. I think it was in 1989 that I took my trip down there. I got to see a space shuttle launch and that was cool! I went to Epcot Center, Universal Studios, Sea World, Cypress Gardens and then headed down to Miami. I didn't get to do too much in Miami because we got there just in time for a tropical storm. We made it to Key West and the Everglades before the storm hit, though. I took some great alligator pictures in the everglades. I think I was down there in September and it was really humid at that time of year. When we were down in Miami I went to Little Havana. At that time I worked with someone from Cuba and I got interested in Latin music. We went to a couple music stores and picked up some great music.

Another fun trip I did by myself (in my younger, bolder days) was a two week road trip to Upstate New York and across New England. I drove through the Catskills and Adirondacks and then across to Vermont, NH, Maine, Mass., RI, CT--the whole works! I stayed with friends or relatives for half that time and the other half I was on my own. I went on a whale watching trip out of Gloucester, MA with my friend Julie and got some really great pictures of humpback whales. That was fun!

I want to go back to Minnesota because when I was there last year I had some nasty sinus headaches and didn't do a whole lot. I want to explore the northern part of the state and take the scenic lake shore drive along Lake Superior. (Just from memory, I think that's the correct lake!)

Well, I could go on with all my adventures but I don't want to bore everyone. I hope others will chime in with their favorite vacation spots. Have a great evening everyone.

The flu pandemic was back around 1918 and killed some 30 million people. Of course with our drugs today and what we know about cleanliness and sterilization, today's death toll from the same type of thing would be far lower.

Interesting fact back before WWII, most people died from Scarlet fever. I had an uncle, since passed away, that was doing tests with penicillin at the beginning of the war in hopes of preventing some otherwise unpreventable battle deaths. They did not know penicillin could have other uses. Well anyway, my mother contracted the disease and my uncle snuck some penicillin to her, subsequently curing her. Of course, that was part of the beginning of the public having access to antibiotics, all because my uncle illegally gave some to my mother.

Regarding vacation spots. Probably my most interesting/fascinating would have to be scuba diving some underwater shipwrecks down in the Caribbean. Most of those ships were sunk because of Hurricanes. Oh no, don't anyone tell Al Gore they had Hurricanes back then!

By the way, REVENGE, I love the "glow ball worming." That pretty much describes the reality of the situation.

Hope everyone has had a great day. The sun is back out now in Denver and it's onward and upward in the thermometer department from here until mid next week. By the way, has anyone ever been to Colorado and where?
