I’m on Turtle Time!
Thought I would post the last of our pix here since we leave first thing tomorrow morning. I’m definitely going to be sad leaving this amazing Island. I slept well every night with the sound of the ocean close by and the light rustling of the trees calming my mind. The days were incredibly relaxing with no time-table or tourist attractions to make us feel like we had to constantly be looking at something. We didn’t have many plans, and just did what we felt like which is just the way it should be ”on vacation”. It took me awhile to “wind down”…but once I did de-compress, it was pretty easy to stay in relax-mode.
I got the hubby to take a picture of me in the hat I bought the other day which will hopefully remind me to relax a little more when I’m back in New York. It says “I’m on Turtle Time!” We should all be on “Turtle Time” once and awhile just to slow things down and get back some perspective. It’s hard to do once you’re in that ”go go go” cycle, but it’s essential to our health and sanity!
AND last but not least, the Viewer Services folks are re-vamping things on the Blogs for a Monday Weather Machine unveil. I haven’t seen what the Machine page will look like, but I hear it’s pretty fancy! There will be a permanent link to the U-Report site on it which is very helpful, and it will be easier to find this place once you’re on Foxnews.com…perhaps a few more weather-related links too! So stay tuned for that.
Alright - one last trip to the Beach, and then a bit of packing to do. I’m getting sad already just writing that. Maybe I’ll win the Mega-millions and I can buy a place here! :) I just emailed my sister-in-law to go buy some tickets today after Don from Richmond reminded us!
Thanks to everyone who keeps coming back! I know I say it alot, but it means so much to me that we have such an energetic, fun group of people who like to meet here. It’s just the best!

“Im on turtle time”…..
Mother Nature and all her creation and creatures is a wise teacher….But we have to pay attention to listen and see what she has to say in order to benefit from what is always surrounding us…..
Looks like you and your husband did just that….
Safe travels home…..
Janice,
Thanks for sharing your great pictures! It looks like you were pretty close to that alligator, but you got some great shots.
I’m glad you’re happy with the crew that meets here on your blog. They are a great bunch. I’m glad we can entertain you! We have fun with each other but we keep coming back because we all love you! I truly appreciate the personal touch you bring to this blog and how you respond to the posts. That makes it even more fun. I’m looking forward to seeing what changes are made to the blog on Monday. It should be interesting. Just as long as we can all figure it out, I’ll be happy!
I will be praying that you have a safe and easy trip back home tomorrow. I know what you mean about feeling sad about your vacation ending. They can go by too fast sometimes. I’m glad you got plenty of rest and were able to unwind. I hope you’re feeling better and that you get over your cold (or whatever) quickly. I’m looking forward to seeing you back on the air!
Take care,
Margie
Margie…
Dont those pics look great ??!?
Looks like postcards or something you would see in a Nature book of sorts …
Janice…
I love the pics..and just for the record..I try to stay on turtle time as much as possible..
Updating the Blog..I love surprises..as long as they are good ones..so I am sure it will be great..or maybe greater..because it is already great!!
I know your vacation went fast..and not feeling well didn’t help any..but maybe you can zip back down there for a looooong weekend..(real soon)..
Deb
I hope one of the updates to the blog is more emoticon options!! That would be cool !!!!!
JD,
I still see that very large and toothy reptile swimming in the water, but thank you for the pictures. In my mind the only bad thing about a vacation is coming home to the daily grind at the end of it.
Hope you can get in to the doc and whip that bug out of you!
JD that is what vacation is about! My mom always had a plan on our vacation and a schedule. Hubby is very different, it is much easier when you are there to relax not check the clock!
I love the crab pictures. I remember the times we went to my uncle’s beach house with such fond memories. This will be a vacation you remember forever!
I am excited about the changes, you have made this blog fun!
