More U-report info…

Hey guys
A couple of you have made mention that some of the U-Report photos are false, or mis-credited. It’s going to be tough in some cases to track what photos are not “real” or lifted from other websites.
Please, if you have ANY concerns with any of the photos you can send your comments here:
If I see anything that is suspicious, I will definitely delete them right away.

I just mentioned that the image had been around. I can understand the concern about using copyrighted imagery. I have a photo of a cell phone that was being used as a detonator for an I.E.D. that was caught and disarmed before the call came. It shows the screen saying “one call missed”. It has been put on a “Motivation” kind of image concerning “LUCK”.
It says “LUCK” and under it it reads: “Good Luck is often with the man who doesn’t include it in his plans.”
I got it from an Australian soldier that took the photo but haven’t heard back from him to see if he minded me sharing it with the folks here. It is a 11×14 poster in my office.
Hey Don, we’re working on it…it’s tough to figure out what’s real sometimes and what’s not…so we’ll see how it goes…
I still feel things would had been easier if our pictures could be sent into just the blog instead of a pool.
Bill, there are some things I can change, and others I can’t…I don’t mind that we have many more pictures to choose from…I think it makes the blog look interesting. It means more people can take part…
Maybe some of your interns or the website gurus can help you fix up this problem. But i doesnt really matter, i still enjoy reading and posting at your blog. Keep up the good work, hope you have a smile on your face!

I, too, had received the lightning/twister/oil rig picture via one of my email pals. The one I got did say it was a west Texas oil field–but I thought it had probably been photoshopped. Will try to let you know if I see one that’s making the rounds! Y’all are doing good, though!

Since the tornado was photographed in Florida, the oil rig definitely was added since I seriously doubt they have oil rigs in Lake Okeechobee!

Yes I agree Janice there is a much wider range and variety of pictures available to view with this new format.
