Janice Dean the Weather Machine

Goodnight!

Hey guys

I’m just about to hit the pillow (it’s been a very long day……)

But wanted to check in and say there’s been problems for me writing comments today - every time I try to get in and type responses, it comes up with a weird error message.  The blog folks are looking into it…

As well, I also hear there’s some very good things happening with U-report!  I think there’s a specific folder now that goes right to ME!  I have to look into this tomorrow, but I think there’s now an option to just send your pictures to little old me!

Will get the details tomorrow!

Have a good night everyone!

Good Night! It seems weird as we get older, our bedtimes get back to where they were when we were kids. :-)

Janice you deserve a great night sleep!
I saw you several times this weekend and you always looked beautiful (from red to pink) and very sharp.
And today, even in white , in your shirt that reminded me of Pierrot-la-lune (how appropriate!!) you looked wonderful and brought up all the latest information about Bertha.

But I absolutely love when you showed Megyn this morning the name of her grand mother, Nana, as one of the names chosen for Atlantic hurricanes this season!
Her reaction and yours were priceless!!
We ought to call the Vatican so that they can send “illeco-presto” a cable receiver that has Foxnews: it’s so cruel to think Nana can’t watch her grand daughter every morning.. or perhaps it is wise (kidding :D )

To be honest, I was never sure before if Nana was really her granny’s name or if it was not an Americanization of the Italian name for Granny, nonna. (I noticed that many Americo-Italians call their grand mother Nana, and when I asked my Italian friends they suggested me it could have been a distortion with the accent).
That is why each time I refer to Megyn’s Granny, by precaution I call her “nonna Nana” :)

Nana is also a famous French novel by Emile Zola about a woman of…hmmm… how do you say that in English…of bad virtue?! Great classic of literature though :)

Anyway your unexpected segment Janice made me laugh happily!!!
Love your attitude.

and yes, today from work, on my Blackberry I couldn’t access your blog :(
Something was wrong.
But I am excited you have now your own folder in UReport.
We’re all going to be happy on the blog!

Hi JD,

Hope you had a great sleep. :) Great job as usual on F+F :) Big thunder storm, rain 150pm est and another big downpour 930-10pm. Humid, and smog warnings issued by the Ontario government. It’s 144am and I’m going off to bed, or will I stay up and watch Red Eye? haha

Guillaume: Get a Itouch, and surf on it, works great on this blog, I’ve posted sitting in our downtown on the sidewalk.

Hey Janice-

Its always great to get a good nights sleep. But if you cant, you can try and take short naps throughout the day, that really helps a person feel refreshed and renewed. You do a fabuous job as always, covering the latest weather reports :)

Good Night, and hope you have a great tomorrow.

Its great that you are going to have some news UReport pics for us soon. I hope you didnt forget about my suggestion of having a weekly contest, where each of us bloggers think of a awesome quote or title to the weather pic you post. And maybe the winner could win a personalized t-shirt or something special like that.

Anyone here notice ED Hill hosted the 5pm slot today and yesterday? I wonder if its permanent. Also what happened to Laura Ingraham’s show? Was it cancelled?

JD……

Well it’s almost 1:45am in Denver and I’m up on your blog. I am really looking forward to a new way to get pics directly to you.

Yeah!!!!! I think I have a new girlfriend, just walked her home. You will be glad to know I am being a perfect gentleman. We met by accident on July 4th and have seen or talked to eachother every day since then. She is really nice and pretty to boot. (What is she doing with me?) I cooked her dinner tonight. Made cold gaspacho soup and great shrimp curry. Did I ever tell anyone I love cooking? If anyone wants either of those recipes, please let me know.

Glad the hurricane is heading north away from land. I guess I should get some sleep and check in tomorrow.

Sunny

Good Night Goddess :)

I am off to the Middle East on Friday for a long trip and will submit photos as soon as I can. I will be visiting the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Adios for now

Hey Brad - from what I understand, the Laura Ingram show was temporary. Now they are going to have rotating weekly hosts during that hour, at least for a while. E.D. is on this week and someone else will be on next week. Not sure who that will be.

A great source for information about the news networks is TVNewser. Here’s a quick link: tinyurl.com/lzp8o

Peter, I’m dying to get an Itouch or even an I-phone!
Doesn’t help there is an Apple store just around the corner from where I live - what a temptation :o
But truth is I can’t post on the blog from my Blackberry; I can only check the blog.
(which explains why I’m always posting early or often very late !)
So I’d love to be able to post during the day :)

Good morning, all!

JD: So glad to hear there’s going to be a Ureport folder for your stuff. I’ve had some pictures I wanted to send, but didn’t, since I wasn’t sure whether they’d actually get to you. I missed out on the great travel with Margie when she was doing them a few months back.

Luis: Take care on your trip to the Middle East. My husband spent some time in UAE in 2001 and in Bahrain in 2002. In fact he brought me some fantastic perfume from the mall in Manama. I’m almost out of it now, and I told him he may need to go back over there to get me some more perfume. He says he wouldn’t mind going for a short time, but he glad he doesn’t have to do long deployments anymore.

Guillaume: I’m seriously considering the new Iphone. My daughter-in-law is an AT&T rep and sells them, but the first one was too expensive for my blood. I think this new on is supposed to be less expensive, and some of the bugs have been worked out.

Went to a funeral visitation last night for a young, 25-year-old woman I had known since she was a child. Her life was taken by a tragic accident this past weekend. Seems I’ve been to alot of funerals this year. Just reminds me that life is so fragile, and we need to cherish each moment.

Hope you all have a blessed day!

Gwen-
It must be a very heartbreaking exprience at that funeral. I can only imagine what you are going through at the moment. Passing away in your 20s is way to young, she has so much life and experiences to live for.

She probably lived a very fullest life during her 20 years than most people wiill even live :)

Her family has my deepest condolences and sympathies, and are my Prayers during this tough time. Its always sad to hear about a life lost, even though i didnt know that person. I always feel kind of responsible, like i could have saved them or something like that.

Take Care.

Hey Joe-

Thanks for the heads up. I thought that Laura Ingraham was on leave to care for her adopted children. That is what someone told me on another blog. Her show was really good, i wonder why it was cancelled.

But i am glad the ED Hill is back to hosting an afternoon show, maybe they should keep her on that time slot permanently?

What do you think about http://imsidecablenews.worldpress.com

Its a very informative look at all the cable news channel, even the liberal ones which absolutely hate.

Comment by Brad

I wonder if the iphone is any good? I heard many bad stories about it, about the ton of glitches and viruses, and how hackers can easily steal personal info from every user that has one. Not to mention the fact that its a cell phone, and those things have been proven to casue brain cancer in the long run. I would rather stay with the old traditional phones i have in my house.
