“Oh, what a beautiful morning! Oh, what a beautiful day!”
I’ve been to Niagara Falls twice — in 1953 and again in 1970. It’s time that I go back again.
Standing by the edge of the falls, or walking down the stairs to go underneath them, is humbling indeed. It makes you realize how fragile men and women really are compared to a force of nature such as Niagara Falls. Riding on “The Maid of the Mist” also shows you just how powerful these falls really are.
And, how beautiful!

Margie..a very beautiful pic as usual!
Thanks Deb! I was surprised to see this posted since I sent it in over 2 weeks ago. I guess it emerged from the black hole. We’ll see if my fireworks pictures emerge someday.
Hey George, I’m sure Niagara Falls has changed a lot since you’ve been there. It’s further upstream than it used to be! The weather was perfect when I was there, which made for some good pictures. I went on the Maid of the Mist and I wish I could have taken pictures near the Canadian Falls. The problem was that once you get past the American Falls there’s so much mist that if you don’t have a waterproof camera, you can forget about it! I had to hide my camera under my jacket and the poncho they hand out. It was fun, though! You need to go on the whirlpool aero car. That was wild! The power of that water is truly amazing and humbling.
