  • Deadly tornadoes tear through Oklahoma

    Good morning everyone!

Well, another deadly outbreak of tornadoes yesterday.  We had 37 reports of twisters tearing through Oklahoma and Kansas.  Homes were destroyed, power is still out for thousands, and 5 were killed from this latest round of terrifying weather.

Here’s a look a the storm reports from yesterday:

One of those tornadoes looks like an EF3 with winds over 136 mph:

Unfortunately, we have more severe weather in the forecast tomorrow hitting the same areas that were hit yesterday.  Here’s the outlook from the storm prediction center:

I think we may see a “moderate risk” bulls-eye issued later on today for parts of the central plains, and Midwest.    We’ll be covering the latest from the Fox News Extreme Weather center!

As you can see, we are right on target when it comes to tornado probability in May:

In personal news, Thanks to everyone for the Mother’s Day and Birthday wishes!  We had a great day on Sunday with lots of food, friends and fun!   Hope you all had a great weekend!  Please be safe if you live in the severe weather region.  Keep those NOAA weather radios handy this week.

Hey Janice, I just caught your weather hit & the video of that multi-vortex tornado was scary! That thing looked wicked. It's cloudy & rainy here in Cumberland but I won't complain after watching the tornado video! Don is heading to Baltimore for a follow-up visit today. He's supposed to get the Foley catheter removed. He has an infection that will hopefully clear up once the catheter is gone. He has gotten to see Rolex quite a bit & his stories were funny about her doggy kisses. Margie

Glad you had a good BD weekend. I saw the news coverage of yesterday's tornadoes...very sad. I don't know how ppl recover from such devastation...I know the ppl in Nashville are really having it hard right now. Prayers for all. We have had a chilly and very windy past few days, the sun pops out here and there, but poof it's gone again. I hope it levels out soon...I have things to do outside. Have a great Tuesday. Deb
