    Memorial Day Forecast!

    Hi everyone!

    Getting ready for an exciting Memorial Day weekend?  We’re thinking about hitting the beach with my little guy sometime Saturday or Sunday- although we have a brand new little pool for our backyard that might also get some use over the next couple of days.  Weather looks really good here in New York – especially Sunday and Monday.  We’re watching a couple of systems that could bring a little nastiness to the picnics across the Northern and Central Plains today and tomorrow, and then across the Upper Midwest down into the Mid Mississippi Valley Sunday.  Luckily we’re not talking about a big severe weather outbreak, but there’s a chance of hail and damaging winds – maybe an isolated tornado.    Here’s a peak at tomorrow’s slight risk:

    I forgot to mention I was on Fox and Friends doing weather this morning, but I will be back early outside Monday morning with the gang!  So if you’re up and at ‘em early on the holiday, I hope you’ll join us!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend so far and will have a wonderful Memorial day tomorrow! The weather here is supposed to be beautiful, but it usually is in southern California as I'm quickly realizing! :) I'm loving it here so far!!

Don't remember who but someone here went to rolling thunder last year. Did you go again this year? My vanco number is still high and will not receive anymore drug tomorrow. Blood pressure is dropping again also, but no wheres near the 70/30 that put me back in the hospital. Now 95/50 which I'm certain is because my chemistry is messed up as it was when I went in the hospital.

Hey guys! Hope all are having a great Sunday. AJ, hope your trip is a good one. Las Vegas is a fun place, but I know it won't be the same without your love. Thanks, Margie and Deb, for b'day wishes to Eric. We had quite a nice time w/all our family. Grill burgers, cake & ice cream. It's very loud with our 5 little ones, but it makes the house feel so full. It's been a busy Sunday as well. Talk to y'all later! Gwen :)

Hey everyone, it's nice to see things picked up on the blog a little. Happy belated birthday to Gwen's son Eric! Don, I hope your numbers are better so they can restart the antibiotics. Keep us posted! AJ, I hope you have a fun trip. Allow yourself to have a good time. It will be different, but you can still enjoy yourself and explore new things. Hey Y'all, Hot and humid here w/showers off and on. Don sorry to hear about XBIL home, but great his valuables were spared! Hope your #'s are good, I'm still sending up those prayers. AJ, hope you have a blast on your getaway. It's been rather a quiet weekend, I'm helping my son pack for his trip to Denver this week and just staying close to home. I learned this morning my ex brother in law just spoke highly of the Brooklyn fire department. His house burned down the other afternoon. The fire department turned over to him his collection of antique guns, all his wifes jewelery and the $30,000 he had in the house. Not a dime was missing. I'm waiting to find out if they are starting the antibiotics again today. They did a "stat" blood test before to check the numbers. It's 93 here today.

...thoughts and prayers. Sorry, I'm a little wordy. 500 never seems to be quite enough. I do hope that everyone has a safe holiday weekend. Remember those who keep us safe and free..especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Remember their families too. We owe them so much. Mornin' guys! I've been MIA for most of this week...so much work to do. I'm covered up! Also, grandson's rookie league baseball team has been in tournaments this week. I've spent 3 nights at the ballfield. They've lost 1 and won 2. It's double elim, so we've got to play another on Monday. If we win, we play again on Tues. So much fun watching 5-7 yr. olds play. Good morning, everyone. I think it will be a quieter day than yesterday since no storms are in the forecast. When I got home from work yesterday & checked my weather station, I discovered that we actually got 1.51" of rain in that storm that lasted a little less than an hr. I also discovered that the wind snapped my flagpole off at the base. That made me made, especially since I just put my flag out a few days ago after not flying it for a couple months because of the wind--bummer! Margie

Posted a blog yesterday that never did show up. My numbers are still high and they still have me off the antibiotics, 3 1/2 days now. Amazing that there are palm trees on Bald Island. Who would have ever thought there are palm trees in NC.

Well, I think I can catch my breath now. We just had a wicked thunderstorm & I can still hear some thunder rumbling. I think we got about an inch of rain in the last hour. There was nasty thunder and some vicious looking bolts of lightning. I happen to have my camera at work today and it can take short video segments so I was able to catch some of the lightning on video--scary stuff! I hope it stops so I'll be able to drive over the mountains to my parents' place without the fear factor. Margie

Hey everyone, it's a humid 80 degrees in Cumberland. Even so, it's a lot better than the humid 93 we had yesterday! JB, thanks for supporting my blog.
