    Time for a Cute Zoo Break!

    Hi everyone.  Hope you had a good weekend.   I have to admit, it’s getting a little harder to roll out of bed these days.  Not only am I enjoying my cozy bed on cooler mornings, but my belly seems to be enjoying the extra pillows and comforter lately too!    We got out yesterday to see one of our favorite New York City attractions:  The Bronx Zoo.   If you’re ever in New York, I highly recommend heading there.   Along with Central Park, it’s one of the best places I’ve ever been to, and it never gets boring.    We had a nice fall weekend as well with plenty of sunshine and cool crisp temperatures.  I wish fall lasted forever!  That said, today isn’t a very fun weather day across the Northeast as a storm hangs off the coast.  Rain, wind and snow will be the result depending on where you live. Wet snow will fall across the mountains of New England and eastern New York. Rain and wind will be the story for New York, New Jersey and PA. Winds are also howling as far south as Northern Virginia.  Looking ahead, once this storm is out of the picture, the Northeast looks very nice for the rest of the week through the weekend with seasonal temperatures.

    The West is also seeing unsettled weather as a storm moves through the region. Rain and mountain snow will fall across the Intermountain West. As much as a foot of snow could fall over the highest peaks.

    A nice looking day for the south and much of the Midwest with warmer than average temperatures.

    Since things are pretty quiet,  I thought it would be a good time to post a “CUTE BREAK!”

    An eight-week-old female lion cub swims through fall leaves during a swim test at the National Zoo in Washington, Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010. The test was to make sure the four cubs will be safe around the water feature when they are put on public display, which is expected to take place in late December. The test was very successful according to the lion keepers!

Hey JD and all, This was a beautiful Fall flip-flop day, sunny & 65. Even warmer tomorrow. JD, glad you had a good weekend w/your family at Zoo. My niece Jennifer is having thyroid surgery tomorrow, prayers would be appreciated, I have been very concerned about her. She has had a few rough months. Richard, great to see you back on the blog, prayers for Don, Dawn family/friends. Comfort and Peace to all. Deb

Thkx to EVERYONE for well wishes. Appreciated. Life always has reality check, though. I live in CT. Shayne's passing was due to accident. Today we have sentence passed down for Petit murders. I think of Karen and Tommy, Shayne's parents. Then I think of Dr Petit & brutal murders of his family. Grateful Shayne's passing was "accident" and not brutal, horrifying murder. God bless those who loses loved ones, today. May God fill that hole somehow.

Mornin' guys. I love Fall! It is my favorite season! We have also had a gorgeous weekend. Very cool...in fact, downright cold. Freeze warnings even. PJ, in answer to your question on the previous thread, in the South grilling has no season. We grill year round. So just fire up your grill and enjoy! I do hope all of you have a good Monday. Good Morning all. It is 68 right now in Dallas. JD we need some Matthew pictures I understand privacy but can we have the back of him or maybe a funny story. It if hard for us to go threw withdrawals after a year of seeing his cute face and hearing stories. I total understand staying in a cozy bed. I so wished I could of done that today when it was 48. Good morning JD and everyone, Dawn you and Don are so heavy on my heart this morning. JD, I totally agree with you about keeping Fall all year round it is my favorite also and that picture of the little lion looked so cute in the fall leaves and I totally agree about those cozy mornings in our cozy beds, especially with your little guy nestled in your tummy. Happy you guys have found a great place to spend family time. AJ
