  • Megyn's Birthday...before and after!

    Hi again!

Yesterday we celebrated Megyn Kelly’s 30th Birthday here at Fox :)   She was on vacation last week, so her little surprise office party had to wait.    Mercedes Colwin bought a BEAUTIFUL cake, and we surprised the birthday girl after her show “America Live!” (1-3pm eastern)

Here are some of the pictures I took from my cell phone before the apparent mishap…

After we sang Happy Birthday, Megyn blew out her candles, gave the cake out to all the staff, and then the left-over cake….ummm…fell…

One of our producers Debbie McMillen (who is cleaning up the mess here) took this picture of the cake…plates…and napkins on the ground!

I almost cried at the through of wasted cake!  :)   Poor Tom Lowell our Senior Producer (who is on Megyn’s left in the photos) had the rest of the cake on his pant leg (which unfortunately no one got a picture of!)  Too bad I wasn’t around.  I might’ve been tempted to lick the icing off his leg.  HAHAHA! (sort of joking)…

Happy Birthday Megyn!  We love you!

And Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, my wonderful blog friends.  I have so many things to be thankful for this year…I feel so blessed.

I hope you all have a fantastic holiday.  Hug the ones you love, and forget about the calories we’re about to all eat tomorrow!  :)

Happy Birthday Megyn! As a Fox News reporter, you handle yourself with great professionalism. I watch you when on Bill's show. Just keep smiling. You will always have the last laugh.

Evening guys! Very dreary, rainy and rather cool here today. Yesterday was cold w/clear blue skies. A day can make so much difference. But, we need the I won't moan about it. I will moan, however, about this cold I seem to have caught. Also, one son and 3 grands have colds. A root canal and a cold in the space of 1 week is so unfair. Guess I'll just have to grin and bear it! Hope all are having a good day. Catch y'all later! Gwen :)

Hey folks, where is everyone today? This blog has been way too quiet but at least Janice got rid of the spam. I've been taking some great cloud pictures today. Earlier this afternoon it looked like the sky was filled with cotton candy. The wispy clouds looked beautiful. Now we have cotton ball clouds. I just went out again and took some pictures of those. Maybe I'll feature my cloud pictures for my next special exhibit on my web site since I need to change my fall foliage pictures. Margie

Hey PJ, you'd think with all technology these days, they could figure out a way to block the spam from this blog. Maybe someday. It's 27 in Cumberland right now and only supposed to get to about 49. That's cold! Hey to everyone else out there! I hope everyone has a great Monday! Margie

Hi PJ, we seem to be getting a lot of spam on the blog lately. It's a pain in the neck. There were some great football games yesterday, and Friday as well. Hopefully the pros will be as exciting as the college games. It's a chilly 36 in Cumberland but it's sunny & not as windy as it has been. That wind has been nasty. I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Good morning all. It is 38 and a tad chilly here in Dallas they say 68 today. Hope we have some good NFL games today. There were some crazy games yesterday. I wanted to get rid of the spam, I don't think anyone wants to see that first thing in the morning. Hope all have a great day. I will check in later. Margie glad Unemployment is going to help ya out. Hopefully you wont need it for long. PJ

Hey AJ, please send your blue skies this way! It's a cloudy, windy, snowy 34 in Cumberland! It's just brief snow showers, but snow nonetheless! Hey everyone, I have some good news & bad news. Considering I thought they'd both be bad news, I won't complain. I didn't get the job at the college but I did qualify for unemployment so that's good! I just have to make at least 2 attempts to find work each week so I can certainly do that. Thank God for good news! Have a great evening, all! Margie

Good morning, all. It's a cold, windy & cloudy day here at my parents' place. I watched snow flakes drift by as I had my breakfast. It was supposed to be sunny today but someone forgot to tell the clouds! The wind chill is 28 at the moment so that's not too pleasant. Hey PJ, I don't mind other people posting on this blog but when they just come to complain, I agree with you, they can find another blog to use for their complaints. Some people are just ignorant. Happy football watching! Margie

I guess all the people who wrote in trying to correct Janice about Megyn's age didn't get the joke. Some people don't have a clue or they think they're so smart. I love the 70th birthday card Merilyn got--that's a hoot! I guess we can say that Megyn is 30 with 10 years of experience! Happy birthday to Megyn and Merilyn! Margie

Hey Gwen, I'm sorry about your tooth problem. I hope you can get things fixed without too many problems. I did laugh at what your husband said and I'm sorry about that. I'm sure this is not funny to you! I'll be praying that you don't have any more problems. I'm glad you had a great Thanksgiving. It's great to be able to gather the family & celebrate with one another. Hey to everyone else out there. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Margie

Hi everybody! Hope everyone had a great T-giving Day. Ours was fantastic. Only Melanie missing, but we kept up with her & her dancers on Facebook all day. I was MIA Wednesday due to a tooth issue. A root canal done 2 1/2 years ago has a problem and will have to be re-done. I don't deal with pain meds well, so until the antibiotics took effect, I was a little "goofy". Hubby had to drive me to/from the dentist. He told folks at my office that he was "Driving Miss Goofy". Not funny! TTFN:)

Hey all, I survived another Thanksgiving, didn't over eat...well I might have over did it a little on the Banana pudding. We had a high of 73 yesterday, today it's 32! WoW. As far as Black Friday shopping, I did it a couple of times, and it was crazy, so I limit mine to, online, or late night. I can't tolerate the huge crowds. Have a great day. Deb
