Well, now we have more spam! I'll just add that I checked my weather diary and we've had 5 days in a row with low temperatures in the teens. I got my natural gas bill yesterday & December is averaging 6 degrees lower than last year. What was this about global warming????? Margie

Well, I see it's been pretty quiet on the blog today. It's a little warmer today than it has been recently. It's all the way up to 27! It's still windy but not as bad as yesterday. When I was out earlier I saw another wind turbine blade being transported on the highway. They must be building a huge one somewhere because I've seen a number of huge round cylinders too, & I'm guessing those are for the vertical part. It's pretty wild seeing them on the hwy! Hey folks, I'm working at the art gallery this afternoon filling in for someone who couldn't make it. It's been really quiet because who wants to walk around outside when the wind chill is around 0? It's still better than out in Garrett County where the temperature is 8 & the wind chill is -6! They have snow up there, too. That's why the woman couldn't make it in today. ...still another made each an ornament. All were to be very inexpensive, but made by our own hands. It was kind of a neat idea, because you had to put a little thought and time into the gift. We all had quite a lot of fun! And, of course, there was all kinds of food. I was stuffed when I left. Gotta get back on my healthy eating kick....after Christmas. Hi all! We're cold again here today. Yesterday never got out of the 30s, low was 17 this morning at my house. It's still in the 30s here, but supposed to get up to a blazing 42 later today. That will be a welcome change. At least the winds have died down. Went to a Christmas party last night...ladies Sunday School class. We each made a gift for the others. I gave goodies (pecan pie cake, almond bark covered pretzels, etc). One of the ladies knitted scarves, another made aprons...

Good afternoon All, We are setting records in my area too. Our normal temps for this time of the year are low 50's daytime, low 30's nightime. we are currently 15, and last night -5. We are under a winter Storm Watch until Thursday. I'm one of the lucky ones in the Ice Zone. (not) On a positive not, the sun is shining bright, so that helps with the negative stuff. Well, just saw Vero Beach, Fl 26 degrees, we lived there for 4 l/2 years and while we lived there they had the only snow ever, brrr 50 in Fl is cold can't imagine 26.....but like you said Margie, its all relative, sure better then 0 or -10....we are 20 degrees cooler rest of this week and maybe rain this weekend that is always welcome...oohh Chili and cornbread does sound good JD even when its 65..Don. hope you have a good day and wish you all a great day..AJ
