Hey folks, I hope Janice posts a new thread before this one runs out on Sunday morning. Anyway, I hope everyone had a great week. I'm almost done framing all my photos for my show that starts on Sunday. I'm going to post the photos on my web site so I'll let you know when I get that done. It looks like we may make it through the day with no rain. It has looked threatening at times but no rain so far. We only got a brief shower yesterday so things are improving. Mornin' guys! Still lovely here, but back up to upper 80s. We may top 90 tomorrow. Margie, we could use some rain here...just not in our western counties. The MS River does not need any more water in it right now. Tonight's dilema...do I attend grandson's ballgame or granddaughters' dance recital? Guess I'll go to the recital and Papaw will go to the ballgame. Even though, Nickolas Jr. was upset with me when I told him I'd probably not be at his game. Still camping! Lake is lovely! :)

Hey Don,It's bad enough to deal with all your medical problems.You certainly don't need to deal with the cost of medication.It's so ridiculous what they charge for medication.But follow Margie's advice and maybe that will help.You're a person with strong determination and we praise you for that. Well folks, we've now had rain for the past 7 days straight. We just had a little shower. At least today is a vast improvement over yesterday. There's a picture on the front page of our newspaper of a suspected funnel cloud that was spotted near the Cumberland Regional Airport yesterday. There's also a picture of a pavilion near the Potomac River in West Virginia that is covered with water that reaches up to just 2 ft below the roof. I don't know how tall it is but that's a lot of water! Margie

Don, its pitiful, one of Clare's 40 meds was a pain lollipop cancer patients take for pain but he took it for arthritis pain twice a day and only helped 50% of pain and every 3 months it would go up 40,60,80 and I would call Medco as their portion went up also our portion was 20% out of 3000 and they could have cared less, it is so sad they DON'T CARE..Don if there ever was a hero we have Don on our blog all our hero,prayers.AJ

Margie, my insurance would pay for all but $280.54 on my Rx. However, if Hopkins "keeps" me on the 24th which I think they will for the blockage I would get the drug probably in IV form and it wouldn't cost me a dime. I decided I'll wait till next week and see what happens. I have an infection in my intestines from all the antibiotics I've have since last year.

Hey folks, the price of prescriptions can be pretty ridiculous. I just want to let you know that many drug companies have programs for people who can't afford to buy prescription medicines. You should find out who manufactures the drug and then go to their web site to find information about their programs. You might be able to get the medicine at a reduced price. It certainly is worth investigating. Margie

A.J. the appointment at Hopkins is the 24th. Yesterday afternoon my doctor here in VA. gave me an Rx for 60 Vancomycin pills. Walgreens price is $3,500.00 Called and told his nurse I will not have it filled. She agreed. Could no believe that price.

Hey AJ, we're now in the middle of our 3rd thunderstorm of the day. So far it doesn't sound too bad. I just read where the Potomac River is a couple feet above flood stage at points between here & Washington, DC so all this rain is affecting a number of areas. That's the problem--when all the creeks and streams flood around here, all the water empties into the Potomac & then that floods. It's nothing like the Mississippi so we won't complain. We just have some road closures. Margie

Well, we are now under a flood warning in Allegany County. We've had two separate thunderstorms today with the second one being the worst. I got around 3/4 of an inch in my rain gauge & some areas west of here got over an inch. That's where the small stream flooding is occurring. The warning stated some roads are flooded, too. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere this evening! I wish I could share some of my rain with the folks who aren't getting enough! Margie

Hi guys, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to BG! If I could, I'd send you some rain for your b'day. The past few days have been gorgeous here. Low this morning was a record 39. That just doesn't happen in MS in May. Must be one of the signs of the apocalypse. Today has been a balmy 75. We're back camping at the lake for several days. Perfect camping weather! River's cresting this week to our west. May be weeks before it's back to normal. Y'all have a great day! Gwen :)

Hey BG, Happy Birthday! I wanted to post earlier but the day has been busy. I wish I could send you some rain. I got caught in a downpour when I was out earlier. I just got done at the supermarket as it started to rain but I needed to get gas. I was under the covering but the wind started blowing & the rain picked up & I got soaked. Now the sun is shining a little--go figure! We've gotten close to 3.5 inches since Friday so I wish I could send you some! Have a great afternoon everyone! Margie
