  • Margie's Rainbow

    Hi everyone!

Hope you’re all doing well!  Margie sent me a beautiful picture of a rainbow she snapped the other day, and I thought I would share it.  Love our flag waving in the wind right above the it.  Gorgeous!

It’s been pretty gloomy here in the Northeast this past week,  with muggy temperatures and on and off rain showers.  Flood watches are posted for interior sections where the ground just can’t handle any more water.

A slight risk for severe weather across the Midatlantic today with mainly hail and damaging winds.  Colder air moves into the Midwest tomorrow dropping temperatures and bringing in some stronger winds while some showers will pop up along the Gulf Coast including a very thirsty state of Texas!   The West remains dry and a little warmer than usual this time of year.

Thankfully, the tropics have fizzled out somewhat with no immidiate threats to the U.S.   We’re thankful for that!

    Have a great day everyone!

Beautiful picture! Janice: Our doppler is fully on-line now. Langley Hill at Copalis Beach, utilizes dual polarization technology. Canano Island, Spokane, ane Portland are being upgraded to the same technology. Then WA. will be the first state in the nation using all DP Tech. How do I put a picture or avitar on my posts? It is Mt. St. Helens, pre-eruption.

Margie, what a lovely picture! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. We had a beautiful day after rain yesteday and last night. Clouds have rolled in and we've got much cooler temps on the way. I'm looking forward to the Fall-like weather. I'll have to get out my Winter wardrobe...which is mostly my Summer wardrobe with a sweater over it. Y'all have a great afternoon! Gwen :)

Audrey here in rainy Indiana

Yikes. If this rain continues I think we better begin to "build an ark." Come on, JD, can't you throw the switch on this stuff? It keeps going around and acts like a hurricane. Rain, rain, go away, and come again another day. Beautiful pic of the rainbow and our flag. The two symbols together should remind us of God's wonderful creation. Audrey

Hey Janice, thanks for posting my picture! I took a bunch of different pictures of the flag blowing in the wind & I liked this one the best. It was still raining a little when I took this picture so I'm glad I was under the overhang on my front porch. Hey Don, it sounds like Richmond took a beating from the storms. We got over 2 inches of rain & there were areas that flooded, but nothing like you got. Be careful if you're out & about. Hey to everyone else out there. Take care, all. Margie

DoninRichmond

Many floods here in Richmond. People had to be removed by boat. Powhite Parkway closed from flooding as was I95 in a couple locations. According to the Fox radio this morning, a large portion of Richmond was without power. We had three storms yesterday.
