  • More gorgeous fall pics from you!

    Hi everyone.

Boy, do I love this time of year!   And with help from you guys on twitter, I’ve had some dandy pictures sent to me @janicedeanfox

    Take a look!

Helen Moss Davis captured lots of color beneath the Blue Ridge Parkway Viaduct when photographing from US Highway:

    And from @JBwingman:

Fall colors Northern Wyoming near Montana border. Yellowstone Park beyond peaks

Thanks to everyone for sending these wonderful pictures!

In weather news, South Florida is seeing plenty of moisture streaming in thanks to a stalled cold front.   We’re also watching an area of low pressure in the Yucatan Channel that has a shot at becoming a depression or the next named storm.  Whatever the case, Florida will see a lot more rain in the next few days because of it – and the Northeast will also see some of this moisture pushed their way midweek.  UGH!

    Have a great Monday everyone!

JB in Texas

Enjoying the cooler weather here. Windows open all day means not using the A/C and hopefully much lower electric bill. Dolores, I hope the medication takes care of the ulcer. Happy Anniversary to Audrey and John. Don, tell Rolex to enjoy his new teleprompter. That sly dog! Hope all had a great hump day today. Take care, JB

Getting back to the truck that was taken with the teleprompter, podium and sound system. Local news is reporting the keys were left in the ignition, The (empty) truck was recovered. Inside job? Or the "highly capable" people that work for Obama.

Hey Don, that's too funny about the stolen teleprompter and podium! I don't know if I believe that you didn't have anything to do with it, though. Maybe you used Rolex as an accomplice--ha! Margie

I swear, I didn't do it. Someone stole the truck with Obama's telaprompter and podium. However, I do think it's funny.

When I was a boy in the late 40's and early 50's, my parents and I made a couple of trips along Skyline Drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We drove from Gatlinburg in the Great Smokies around to North Carolina and then headed north up Skyline Drive. I returned in 1968 when I got married in late October. The colors were still vibrant. Talk about God's Country!

51 at 11am, sunny and clear. Rain is due in Wednesday A.M. The areas of hardwoods are really colorful in the fall. Around here all we have for color are a few maples. The alder leaves just fall off green! Conifers never change!!

Hey Janice, thanks for the beautiful pictures. However, the second picture is the same one you posted the other day. It's the Utah picture instead of the Wyoming/Montana picture. They're all beautiful anyway! I took more pictures on Saturday so I may send you a couple more. Hey to everyone else out there. I hope everyone has a great afternoon! Margie
