    More snow in Texas than the Northeast!

    Good morning everyone!

    Primary Day in New Hampshire, and once again weather should not affect those heading to the polls to vote.  In fact, not only is the state storm free, the temperatures are 10-15 above average!

    Meanwhile, another storm hits Texas bringing more snow to several cities.  Can you believe that some areas saw more snow yesterday than areas across the northeast have seen all season long!  CRAZY!

    That same storm that brought snow/flooding and severe weather to parts of Texas is lingering across the Gulf Coast.  We have a slight risk for strong to severe storms today over the area shaded in yellow:

    This slow moving system will impact the southeast, the mid atlantic and the northeast later this week.    And it looks like temperatures will start to feel more “winter-like” later on this week for much of the country.

    Meanwhile, have you seen the video out of Alaska?  The town of Cordova is buried under a record 18 FEET of snow!  Buildings have collapsed, and avalanches are a big danger.  The city is under a state of emergency as people just can’t deal with this by themselves.   And the cold has been crippling this winter.   Here’s a look at the various watches/warnings in place for the state, and the 5 day forecast for Cordova.

    When folks complain about weather, I always tell them to talk to the people that live in Alaska!

    And in other news, I have a new office mate!  Her name is Anna Kooiman.  You may have seen her on the air the last week or so.   She comes to us from North Carolina, and is as sweet as can be.    I sent her a few questions to answer and I’ll post them later so you can get to know her a little better!  I know everyone here on the blog will be cheering her on from home when you see her on the air!

Hello all, and welcome Anna Kooiman. That sounds like a Dutch name. Maybe you will let us know when we become better acquainted. Nice that our good friend Janice has a new "office mate." Suppose to get some snow here in the area tonight. Almost forgot what it looks like! Guess I better turn in my "flip flops" for my "boots." Morning all! Cool, cloudy and windy here today after about 2 inches of rain yesterday. Feels alot more like our Winters. Don, quite an accomplishment! You crack me up! Hello to Anna. Will be looking forward to finding out more about her in the upcoming days. What part of NC is she from? Just love NC! Poor Cordova, AK. Those folks are having WINTER!!! I like a little snow...with emphasis on "little". Y'all take care! Gwen :)

Hey folks, I just wanted to let you know that I just got an e-mail from Deb (TnDeb). It took her a while to respond to my e-mail but I was happy to hear from her. She said things have settled down a lot & are almost back to normal. She said she thinks about us often and wanted me to send her regards to everyone. Maybe someday she'll come back to the blog. Hey,there,bloggers.Pretty day in Edmond,Sunny and cool,50.We are supposed to get snow fluries tomorrow and 30.I just got home from having lunch with"old"friends of 40 yrs.We ate at Longhorn Steak- house.Lunch and service was very good.Very relaxing talking about our children and grandchildren.Times are so different these days then when we were raising our children,And of course whose greats are the most beautiful,smart.fun.We decide they all are because they come great stock.Take care,D

Four pair of mallard ducks returned to the pond. It seems to me as I remember this is a month to six weeks eailier then normal for them to return. Could be the warm weather.
