    SNOW PICS FROM WASHINGTON STATE!

    Hi everyone!

    Thought I would post some of the great snow photos I’ve gotten on twitter (you can “tweet” me your pictures too.  I’m @janicedeanfox.

    These ones come from AJ Donn in Everett, Washington

    This one is from “Trooper Guy Gill” from Washington State Patrol.

    Obviously, people need to take it easy on the roads if they absolutely need to head out.   But otherwise, I’ll bet people are having so much fun in this!

    Here’s a look at some of the impressive snow totals already we are seeing:

    (The first three locations are between Seattle and Portland in the mountains)

    And some of the wind gusts are pretty powerful too:

    This storm could certainly go down as “notable” when you compare it with some of the snow totals in the past:

    Moving forward, the Northwest does not get a break in the next few weeks!  There are several storms slamming into the area – however, the temperatures will be warmer so it will be mainly rain.

Really people come to Alaska, were up to nine feet with temps -15 to -20 below zero.

Hello all: We are getting lots of that "beautiful white stuff" right now. Suppose to get about 9 or 10 inches. That's alot for us. So far this winter we have had only about 3 inches total. Glad we don't have to take care of it. Stocked up on groceries this a.m. so we are "good to go" for the week-end in case we get "snowed in." Stay warm and safe everyone and have a nice week-end. Where is everybody today??? It's been way too quiet. I couldn't let a day go by with no posts. We had another crazy weather day today. It was kind of chilly today but after it got dark, the temperature shot up by about 7 degrees in a half hour and then the winds picked up (31 mph gust). Now it's cooling off again. We've had a little bit of precip. this evening but not too much. I hope everyone is safe and warm wherever you are. Margie

JD, thanks for all that info I have to email dear friends in Newport Oregon where you show 95 mph winds, they always get hit there, hope all stay safe and warm, boy Margie, those temps are realling dropping so quickly, be careful..AJ

Hey Janice, those wind gusts are impressive! We had 30+ mph gusts the other day and I thought that was bad. I can imagine 70+ mph gusts would be downright scary! The temperature here is dropping but at least the sun is trying to come out. I hope the folks in Washington & Oregon just stay home if the weather is bad. I'd rather stay home & be safe than to try to get somewhere in lousy weather. Hey to everyone else out there. Stay safe and warm! Margie
