    Happy Friday everyone!

What an awful situation across the Northwest.  First snow, then ice and now rain moving into the coast.   And there are several systems poised to move into the region over the next few days.  Flood, snow and avalanche advisories are in the forecast through the weekend.

The winds across Reno Nevada haven’t helped firefighters battle the wildfire out there today.   There is some rain and snow in the forecast in the next 48 hours which should help contain things this weekend.

And a quick moving storm pushing across the Midwest, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Northeast will bring a wide swath of 1-6 inches of snow depending on where you live.  Chicago’s O’Hare is reporting over 4 hour delays this afternoon!

I’m excited to see the snow tomorrow, and the fact that it comes on a weekend is great news since it won’t affect those of us trying to get into work on time! (Unless of course you work weekends, in which case be careful travelling!!)

Have a great weekend everyone!  Send me some of your snow pics to @janicedeanfox :)

Hey folks, I hope everyone had a great weekend. Those football games sure were exciting. I can't stand the Ravens (sorry Don) but I do feel sorry for the kicker who missed the field goal. I don't really like the Patriots so I'll root for the Giants. None of my favorite teams made it this far so I'll root for the Giants since I like Eli Manning. We're getting a cold rain here today but thankfully it's above freezing. Tomorrow is supposed to be really nice. Have a great afternoon, all! Margie

Good Monday to all of you. Remember that 6-8 inches of snow we received on Friday, well it rained over night and it is now gone, except for a few piles here and there. Who can figure? Enjoyed lots of football over the week-end. Since our team, the Packers, did not make it to the playoffs, guess we will root for the Giants. How about the rest of you? Audrey

Hey guys! Hope all are having a good weekend. We're supposed to have severe storms tonight, so I'm hoping for the best. It has been quite warm here for the last day or so. Not a good omen for January. I've been really busy for the past couple of weeks at work. Looking forward to February when things begin to calm down to normal. Y'all have a great evening! Gwen

Is calling a city a county an offense punishable by death? Some people really need to lighten up. Hey to all the regular bloggers out there! I just got done chiseling my car out from under about a half inch of ice. I chopped about the same amount off my sidewalk this morning. It snowed last night but then turned to sleet & freezing rain & that just turned everything into one frozen mess. I hope everyone is safe and warm. Take care, all! Margie

Dear Fox News, please tell your weather person that the 7 inches of snow she was talking about in West Milford NJ was in the CITY of West Milford NJ, which is in the COUNTY of Passiac, not the COUNTY of West Milford as she reported, there is no such county in NJ.

I hope all those getting the snow and winter weather can stay safe and warm this weekend. I feel guilty here, it was 75 today and I grilled steaks on the back porch. May all have a great weekend. I am glad Don found his sock! Take care all, JB

Hi all: We are blanketed under lots of white stuff...meaning snow. We are only 1/2 hour from downtown Chicago, and we are getting socked! It sure is beautiful, and believe me, as senior citizens, we are staying in! Hope all of you have a wonderful and safe week-end. Audrey

Hey Janice, I don't know where all the regular bloggers have been lately. It's been pretty quiet around here. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your weekend in the snow! They're calling for a few inches of snow & sleet & ice around here. I think I'll stay in this weekend. It's a sad day around Cumberland today. There was a row house fire this morning & two young girls were killed--ages 6 & 10. I saw the smoke & police cars/fire trucks on my way to work this morning...very sad. Take care, all. Margie
