    Under the weather...literally!

    Hi everyone!

    First off, thank you for the wonderful comments about my last post about the death of Gary Carter.    The support and love from all of you was overwhelming.   I’m glad I shared my thoughts and feelings with all of you regarding the passing of my father last year.   Even though we weren’t close over many years, it’s moments like the baseball game that I choose to remember him by.     

    I’ve been home this last week nursing a nasty cold.  First Matthew got it, then my husband – then myself and my poor little Theodore got the worst of it.  He had a fever of 103 – an infected ear and throat.   It was heartbreaking seeing him in so much pain.  I stayed up with him through the last few nights just rocking him and letting him sleep on me.   As a mom, it’s the moments like these – just having him sleep on my chest at 2am, that I truly realize how much this role means to me.  I am so blessed.  These boys are my life.  I would do anything for them.   Thankfully, Teddy is feeling a little better.  He was back to his little self this morning despite the runny nose and sleepy eyes. 

    And now, let’s talk about the weather!  It’s going to feel like winter across the North, and summertime over parts of the South!  88 degrees in San Antonio today!

    Parts of the Great Lakes could see 6-8 inches of snow as a quick moving storm pushes in. 

    On the warm side of this system, severe weather is going to threaten parts of the Mid-South and Ohio Valley:

    A confirmed EF 1 tornado ripped through Rome, Georgia yesterday with winds of up to 110 mph.  That same area could be hit hard this afternoon and tonight, so please be safe and keep an eye to the sky and ear to your local weather forecasters!

Jd so happy you "all" are on the road to recovery, it would be so difficult watching those little ones in pain, that was the hardest part with Clare's health issues and even now if Sammy (granddog)doesn't feel good, I feel so awful for him, you just want to take it from them...sure is a lot of it going around all over the country...Margie hope you are feel better soon all over, good think the weekend is close so you can rest..AJ

Hey folks, just checking in so you don't see the spam the first thing. Dolores, I'm glad Amanda is doing so well. I will keep her in my prayers as she nears the birth of her precious little Bentlie. Hey to everyone else out there. I've had a rough day today. I got rid of the stomach virus & now I have sinus issues. I left work a couple hours early & I took a nap when I got home. I guess sinus problems are better than stomach problems. I'm glad the weekend is almost here. Take care, all. Margie

So glad to hear you and your family,Janice.are on the road tofeeling better.I know what it is like to be with a sick baby.My "baby",48 now,at 6 months was prone to convulsions with a temp of 100 for 3 yrs.Whenhe was a year old trip to the hospital,with a temp of 106. Alternating cold then hot water was'nt working that time .That was a very scarey firsr 3 yrs,Even to this day,hie temp will spike when- ever he has a cold or not feeling well.But he greww to 6ft3in,and a great "kid".

Sorry to hear that you and yours have been sick, JD. It is no fun when your little ones are sick...I can attest to that. Fortunately we have not had any serious illnesses on Walton's Mountain this Winter. (I have totally jinxed us now!) Going to be another 70/80 day here in MySouth, but storms are on the way. Our county is building a $3 million storm shelter with FEMA funds. I consider it a waste. IMO should have given tax credit/help to those who wanted to build a family shelter.TTFN! :)

Glad all are starting to feel better in the Weather household. My hubby has been sick with a nasty head cold. He said he feels like he got run over by a freight train. He is better now just still gets tied and needs a nap during the day when he is not working. It is 80 here in Dallas tomorrow 62. Hope all are better and well rested. Great to here the good news about people . Glad Amanda is doing better. Hope all have a great day. PJ

Janice, I'm sorry you and your family have had such a rough time. I'm glad everyone is at least starting to feel a bit better. I'm sure that was so hard watching Teddy suffer so but I'm glad he's on the mend. I'll keep praying for all of you. It's 56 here in Cumberland & it's supposed to reach 60. I don't care if it only reaches 56--it's a lovely day! Hey to everyone else out there! I hope the weather is good wherever you are. Take care, all. Margie
