    Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend!  (I was off yesterday taking the boys to their 3rd year and 1st year doctor visits!  Everybody is doing GREAT!)

Weather is fairly quiet today–a little wintry/wet weather for the eastern half of the country.   Just more of a nuisance than a major system.  Tomorrow a storm out of the Rockies will be the one to watch this week as it makes its way across the central U.S and then the eastern seaboard by week’s end.   There will be a risk for strong to severe storms tomorrow for parts of the Gulf Coast states….some of the same spots that got hit in January with tornadoes — so we’ll keep an eye on that.

Since it’s Valentines Day, I thought I would post a few pics of my little Valentines!  These were taken a few weekends ago when we had a birthday party for the boys.

Hug the ones you love today, and since it’s Valentines Day, chocolate shouldn’t really have any calories.  LOL!  ;)

    Hi everyone!

Well, our winter coats might get a workout this month with cooler air on the way and perhaps a little more snow in our future?

A front pushing across the Great Lakes will bring some light snow across the Ohio Valley and Northeast on Saturday.  Lake effect snow will continue to crank over the weekend while much cooler air will filter in behind this system.

Temperatures will drop below average for many areas that have felt above normal temperatures in January.

Personally, I don’t mind if it gets a little colder, and it was kind of nice seeing the snowflakes yesterday…

You can always send me your “winter” pictures on twitter!  I’m at @janicedeanfox

    Have a great day everyone!

  • Happy Birthday Teddy!

    Guess who turns one tomorrow?

I can’t believe it…where did the year go?

  • Guess who's at the Giants Parade!

    Janice Dean | Meteorologist

My sweet roomie Anna Kooiman is at the Giants Parade here in NYC!

I guess I’m glad one of us got to go!  lol!

Here’s a couple of pics she took:

    It’s a beautiful day for a parade!

Weather has been relatively quiet across the country…some heavy rain for southern California and a weak system across the Central Plains and Midwest.  No major blockbuster storms bringing big snow or severe weather thank goodness!

In other news, we’re going to be making some changes to the blog in the next weeks/months.  Nothing that should affect you guys, but there’s going to be some transitions here and there.   Have a great day everyone!
