    Rare tornado hits Michigan

    A rare and destructive tornado tore through Dexter Michigan yesterday tearing apart homes and businesses.  Thankfully, so far there are no reports of any injuries or deaths.  Sirens went off around the area about an hour before the tornado went through so people had time to seek shelter.

    One of the reasons we have such a rare and damaging tornado this time of year is due to the incredible warmth that is blanketing over two thirds of the country. 

    Temperatures are 30 – 40 degrees above average foe the Northern Plains and the Upper Midwest today and tomorrow.  Looks like these amazingly mild temperatures are going to stick around until next week!

    We could see some strong storms across west Texas and Oklahoma today while scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across parts of the Northeast and southeast.

    And the West continues to get pounded by heavy rain and mountain snow with this latest storm moving into Southern California and into the Southwest tomorrow.

Hello everybody. Beautiful day here in MySouth. Mid 80s, sunny and gorgeous. Azaleas are in full bloom. Hubby took my picture after church by one of them. We got out with 3 of the grandkids and played in the yard. So much fun! Alli and I picked flowers. Papaw and Nickolas played ball. Then we built a small fire and the kids found sticks to burn. Hunter wanted to get out the marshmallows, but we talked him out of it. It was a good day! TTNF! Gwen :)

Hey folks, just checking in to say hello. I spent the weekend visiting my parents. I've been helping them with their grocery shopping lately since it's hard for my dad to do it anymore. I took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday & went to one of my favorite spots in that area. It's called High Rock & it overlooks a really pretty valley. On my way home today, I went to a cute little state park & took more pictures. It was a great weekend for pictures! Take care, everyone. Margie

Hi all: Great picture of you and your family J.D. Hope you had fun at the parade. Since I am not Irish I did not bother to wear green. We are having corn beef and cabbage for dinner today (Sunday). My husband loves it. I will let you know if I share his thoughts on this. Since that is all on the menu guess I will have to at least try it. Weather continues to be beautiful. Lots of sunshine and temps in the 70's and 80's. Unbelievable for this time of the year. Have a nice day all. Audrey
