McCain and Obama don't know much about the economy. McCain even aitmds he doesn't know much about the economy. The stronger players in economics will be Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton. I don't know about Huckabee.

This is for Fox and Friends. I do not like your loop of music that now plays when you read the news stories of the day. The stories are about missing children and other important events and we have to listen to this inane background music. Yours is quite soft, but I still object.

Happy Friday, Guys! Hubby is gone on a 4-day fishing trip to Pickwick, which is on the MS/AL/TN border. My plans are to rest/chill/relax/take it easy for the next couple of days. Hi to Joni! Wish I were in those Blue Ridge Mountains right now myself. I just love it there! Also good to hear that little Bentlie is eating and growing. We wish them well. Yea, JD! Teddy taking his first steps...how wonderful. Gotta scoot...lunch is calling! Catch y'all later! Gwen :)

A weather question Janice. Is there a correlation between La Nina finally ending and the ring of fire earthquakes?

Great, now we're getting complaints about Gregg Jarrett on the blog. Hey to all the regular bloggers out there. It's a beautiful sunny day in Cumberland today. We're supposed to get up to the upper 70's today so that will be nice. I took the day off today so I'm taking it easy. Life's been hectic lately so it's nice to relax a little. I hope everyone has a great day! Margie

Hey Joni! It's good to see you back on the blog! We had a beautiful sunny day today with a high of 75. It was lovely! We've had some cool days but mostly it's been above average. It was 92 on Tuesday! If I ever get myself back on solid financial footing, I'd love to visit the Blue Ridge again. I love western NC. It's such a beautiful area. I think that's why I love Western MD. We have beautiful mountains, too. I love mountains! Take care, everyone! Margie

The first rock and roll song was Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley and the Comets. The flip side of that song was my theme song back then. Called 13 women, To this day I remember the words.

Called both of my senators today Jon Kyle and John McCain and asked them to publicly apologize for the fifteen trillion dollar debt eleven million illegals propagating on our tax dollars, and the hug unemployment problems. Does any one think that they will do it.

AJ,Don and Margie, those were my high school years. I danced The Stroll and all those songs you mentioned AJ. Dick Clark was our favorite. Even my daughter asked, did you all dance to that kind of music? On my car XM radio, I listen to music from the 50's. May you rest in peace, Dick Clark. Dolores, glad to hear Bentile is progressing well. Hope all you dear blogger family is having a great week. BG.

Hey Don, I watched that dance video and noticed that not one of those folks is smiling. It didn't look like they were having much fun doing that dance. That kind of dancing was before my time but it's fun to watch the old videos. Thanks for posting the link. Margie

In the late 50's The Diamonds had a song called THE STROLL. The Kids on American Bandstand came up with a line dance called The Stroll. At Dick Clarks funeral they should be playing that song and The Stroll dance should be done going down the isle before sitting down in the church.
