  • Race to Erase MS!

    Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend!  My Mother’s Day was amazing.  The boys took good care of their Mama!   I was well rested, well fed, and well loved!  :)

Wanted to let you all know that tomorrow I’ll be flying to Los Angeles to take part in this year’s Race to Erase MS Gala!

The Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis is dedicated to the treatment and ultimate cure of MS.   All the funds raised support the Center Without Walls program, which is a selected network of the nation’s top MS research centers.   It’s here that doctors and scientists are working together for cutting edge research, new therapies and hopefully one day eliminating MS altogether!   The other big goal is to raise awareness so that more of us have a better understanding of this chronic illness that affects millions of people across the U.S.

Nancy Davis is one of my heroes.  I can’t wait to meet her in person.  Nancy was diagnosed of MS back in 1993, and once she found out, she soon realized she wanted to help others and dedicate much of her life to finding a cure for this chronic disease.   This event that I’ve been asked to participate in has already raised over $30 million for multiple sclerosis research!

If you’d like to read more about this event or Nancy’s amazing Center Without Walls program, you can head here:

I’ll be tweeting about the event through the weekend – and you can follow me at @janicedeanfox

My best friend Neera is going to be meeting me in L.A. tomorrow, and we’re going to make it a fun girls weekend along with taking part in this amazing event, so I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and post them as I go!  Can’t wait to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather on the West Coast!

Have a great rest of the week – and I’ll be back next Tuesday!

I think we need to "Race to erase" all the spam on this blog! To the regular bloggers--if you haven't been on for a while, there are a lot of porn posts on this thread today so you might want to wait until Janice deletes them to read anything else. The total post count is 94 at the time I'm writing this. I bet at least half are spam. Have a great day, my blogging friends! Margie

Why is it that the "spam" filter blocks the good stuff, yet it allows porn posts? That makes no sense. Too bad there isn't technology that will destroy a spammers computer when they post garbage on the Internet. I hope all the regular bloggers have a great day. I won't say what I'd like to happen to the spammers. Margie

Margie, we are all praying that the radiation treatments go well and that you can find strength knowing so many of us are pulling for you and thinking good thoughts. Gwen, congrats on the new family member(Roxie, great name). I love Labs. They are so sweet and have wonderful dispositions. Hot and ry here. I fear we may have another summer draught here, but hope not. Welcome back tomorrow, JD. Take care all, JB

Hey, everyone! I hope everyone's week is off to a good start. I had my consultation with the radiation oncologist today. I have to have 33 radiation treatments. They tattooed me today so I'll be ready to go when things get scheduled. I was hoping I didn't need that many but there's not much I can do about that. I hope everyone has a great week ahead! Margie

Hi, guys. I see we have unwelcome guests. Been a really busy recital and shopping for a new vehicle. Haven't decided what to get yet, but like the Toyota Highlander and have been happy with the one we bought in 2005. Also, we have a new addition to our family...Roxie, our chocolate lab puppy. She's so cute! And she's been the center of attention in our home all weekend. Another hot one today. 89 and climbing to 90+ over the next few days. Will try to stay cool. :)

Hi bloggers. I never did like spam. These "spammer people" don't know what to do with their extra time. Hope they don't quit their "day jobs." They do like all the attention. Best we ignore the whole situation. What do you think? Weather today (near Chicago, and the NATO summit) is HOT. About 90. Suppose to get storms tonight. That might cool things off a little, but probably won't get rid of the NATO protestors. Rather entertaining to watch the Chicago news. Have a nice evening. Audrey
