Yes Dana, please inform all of America how much time and effort goes into raising these dogs! It would be an absolute shame for people to run out and buy a Vizsla solely because they look cute and cuddly - and then realize later how time consuming owning one becomes. Please be sure to include the hours each and everyday these dogs need to run and that they need some sort of mental stimulation daily to keep them satisfied and out of "trouble." Help preserve the integrity of this breed!

Dana after having 45yrs + with V's - I hope you point out just what it takes to be a V owner - if not they will become wrist candy and hurt the breed - cute but not easy to raise and respect!

Vizslas are not hairless dogs they are short hair dog. They are sweet, overly affectionate family dogs and are a great looking dog. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and yes whatever makes her happy is right. Enjoy your new pup I know the owner of the sire, JB she is a responsible breeder. You had Henry so you know this little guy will keep you on your toes but will also be there when you need someone to brighten your day with hugs and face kisses. Velcro Vizslas is an understatement :)

Afternoon, guys! Jasper is so cute! I was not familiar with the breed, but did google it. Found out they look very much like a Weimaraner or a German Short Haired Pointer when grown. Hunting dogs...spent most of my life around them. My Dad had a German Short Hair named Fritz. Beautiful, regal animal...Dad's pride and joy. Excellent quail hunter. Good luck to Dana and Jasper. Aww, Dana's dog is so cute! He looks so cuddly! Hey to everyone out there. I hope everyone is having a good day. I will actually be starting my radiation treatments tomorrow. The appointment this morning was for one more alignment of everything. They took x-rays and did all kinds of things to adjust the machine. They get everything ready beforehand and I guess they program the information in so the actual treatment goes quickly-just a few minutes. It should be interesting. Take care, all. Margie

I never cared much for hairless dogs. This breed is by far one of the less "cute" ones. Looks like someone forgot something around its eyes. If Dana likes it and it is her dog, that is all that really matters.
