Hi, Weather Machiners! Janice, it's nice to see your blog is as active as ever. I hope Sean and you and your boys are having fun this summer. I have fond memories of how my parents and relatives always had fun, often going to the lakes in Northern Illinois on Sundays. My mom will take a few of my buddies and I to the lakes and local swimming pools on weekdays. Those were the days, my friends!

Hey Don, you're right. This group tends to swarm when attacked. We watch out for each other. JB, don't feel bad. Sometimes it takes hours for my posts to show up. I like both your posts, so you did a great job--and you're not senile! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. My dad & I went to Ruby Tuesday this afternoon because my mom wanted us to celebrate the end of my treatments. It wasn't the same without her but my favorite server of all time, Stacy, was there so that was nice. Margie

They never learn. The Wrath of This Group sure can be brutal

Sorry about two back to back posts saying the same thing. After the first one, it seemed like it never went up on the blog. I figured it was lost and so I reposted. Despite what my wife thinks, I am not totally senile, yet.

Don, a great comeback, sir. Possibly MRK needs to go back and study his/her own grammar a wee bit. An apostophe is needed in the contraction it's. MRK made that error twice. Also, the last sentence ends in a preposition. Shame, shame, shame! Using all upper case letters is considered rude. Similar to a child screaming because someone took away their binky. Hope all are having a great Sunday.JB

Dear MKR..or whatever, on this blog, the most important thing is we write to each other and we understand no one is perfect or has time to be perfect and besides that isn't possible anyhow, i mean anyway, or something like that, why do you waist yur time on r kind.AJor JA whatever works

Don, great comeback, sir! I did notice in MRK's remarks that he/she forgot the apostrophe in it's. Several commas were also missing and the last sentence ended with a preposition. I guess it is always easier to point a finger than to look in a mirror! May all enjoy what's left of their weekend. JB

MRK Go getcha your far wood and start a bomb far and burned all the misstakes
Margie
MRK, how about getting a life? Go find something more productive to do besides criticizing spelling and grammar. Unless you are paid to proofread, there are a lot more important things to do with your life. We don't need whiners on our blog.
MRK
JD-ITS A BIT OFF TOPIC BUT COULD YOU GET YOUR FOLKS TO USE SPELL CHECK WHEN THEY ARE POSTING TO THE WEATHER AND GENERAL NEWS? AFTER THAT HOW ABOUT GETTING SOMEONE TO CHECK THE GRAMMATICAL ERRORS. I WAS RAISED IN MISSISSIPPI IN THE 60'S AND ITS TERRIBLE TO READ SOME OF THE STUFF THEY PUT OUT.

AJ, you don't have to apologize. My mom has major heart disease & it's only going to get worse. She's been getting therapy in the nursing home to help her walk better but the insurance won't pay any more. She does need more care & that is what the hospice care will do. She did not have a seizure like we thought. It was related to her heart condition. She's not going to get better with her condition. By the way, if you saw on the news about the guy in PA who killed his wife & 2 others & then kidnapped his daughter & took her to Ohio—that happened about 2 miles from where my parents live. So much for quiet country living! Margie

Ohhh Margie, I am so sorry to hear this, and I apologize I read your blog wrong and just thought she was doing so good she was coming home, am confused from stroke to a fall to hospice? I know both their health will bear heavily upon your heart and shoulders and I pray the Lord will hold you all in his hands..AJ

Gwen & PJ, my mom will be getting hospice care. The social worker talked to her yesterday and is working on the paperwork. Hopefully all that will run smoothly. My mom said she doesn't want to be a burden on my dad, who has his own health issues. He's been having some cognitive issues lately besides everything else so that's not good. Neither one of them is in good shape. I'm getting ready to do some grocery shopping for them. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Margie
Gwen
Don, So sorry about this latest health news. I'll also be praying for you. Margie, good news that you Mom is going home. Do y'all have a home health service in your area? Usually, those are covered by insurance/medicare, and everyone I know who has used such a service has been pleased. Hope all have a great weekend! Gwen :)

Don, that's a bummer. I'm sure you're tired from all the battles you've faced already. I'll be praying for you. Hopefully the treatment won't be too complicated and they can take care of the problem. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Margie

I'm facing a new battle. Because of pain I went to the doctor this past week and two CT Scans as well as lab work were done. I have severe Hydronephrosis on my left side and moderate on the right side. (blocked and enlarged kidneys) Results have been sent to John Hopkins as well as local urological group. Will learn the plan of action next week. I don't know if I have the strength and or the desire for another battle

Margie that is wonderful news, you and your Mom had a good week and I know your Dad will be happy to have her home again and afraid it sounds like insurance is only going to get worse and not better and it is frightening for sure...just want to say that I am so grateful and thankful for each one of you regular bloggers, we truly have a special gaggle of folks that care about each other very much, hope you all have a wonderful weekend and JD that you are feeling good again soon..xoAJ

Oh, I wish the spam would go away. Hey everyone! Just checking in to bury the spam even further. I hope everyone is having a great day. I'm helping my parents this weekend. My mom is getting out of the nursing home on Monday & I'll be here to help with that. It's been quite an adventure. She's getting helpful therapy but her insurance won't pay any more. Aren't insurance companies wonderful??? Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend! Margie
PJ
Did not want the blog family to see the spam. So spam go away. This is not a place for ya. So get a life!! Hope all are well and enjoying the Summer. It is 94 right now and sunny. Hope all have a great weekend. PJ
