  • Cold front moves in...but watch out for storms!

    Hi everyone!

Hope you’re all doing well.  Happy Hump Day!  Weekend is almost here!

So we’ve got a cold front sweeping through that will knock out some of this heat we’ve been stuck with again this week:

However, some strong to severe storms are possible as the cooler drier air mixes in with some of this hot, humid unstable air:

I heard one of our local forecasters say the other day:  “The complaint box is full!”  I had to laugh, because no matter what, there’s always going to be someone who doesn’t like what the weather forecaster is saying!

If you’re up bright and early, I’ll be back on Fox and Friends First tomorrow and Friday at 5am!

    Have a great day everyone!

    JD

Hey Don! They should have played Pomp & Circumstance! I did find it online, though. Check it out at http://aimini.net/view/?fid=777sYZVsarN2yH2Lgo6e and have some fun!

Hey Don, we're supposed to get up to 98 today. Right now it's 91 with a heat index of 100. I was just outside & it's hot! I went to Dairy Queen with a friend from work to celebrate the end of my radiation treatments. I had a mushroom Swiss burger/fries and a chocolate sundae for dessert--yummy! I got a diploma this morning from the cancer center. It was so cute! They congratulated me on the completion of my treatment. It's nice to get a diploma! Have a great afternoon, everyone! Margie

Happy Wednesday, All! Started to post earlier, then decided to wait to see if there was a new thread. Margie, I checked out Rocky Gap online. Always looking for camping spots. One day I hope we'll be touring the country with our RV. Which reminds me, of course, of the Robin Williams movie, RV. So funny! Y'all have a great evening and Eat-Mor-Chikin! :)

Don, I'm glad you escaped the derecho. I hope it wasn't too bad in the Williamsburg area. It was a nice cool 62 when I got up this morning. After my treatment, I'm going out to Rocky Gap State Park for a short walk. I don't work until 1:00 on Wednesdays so with the beautiful sunny day, it should be beautiful at the park. Have a great day, everyone! Margie

We had a "normal" storm, the derecho missed us and hit East from here in the Williamsburg area.

Don, I hope you don't have any really severe storms. Stay safe. Gwen, it has been really quiet on the blog. I felt like I was talking to myself so I didn't post anything yesterday. It's nice to see a little action today. I've been feeling really tired lately so motivation is an issue. I only have 2 treatments left-yay!! It's a good thing because the stronger dose is really affecting my skin--looks like sunburn. Thankfully, it doesn't hurt too much, though. Have a great evening, everyone. Margie

Hey, Don! Stay safe! Boy, it's been very quiet in here since yesterday. Hope that doesn't mean anyone's having problems but that all are well and safe. All's well in MySouth. Just climbing temps and humidity. Nothing new. Puppy update: Roxie and Sadie are growing, eating like little horses and chewing on everything. They are even eating the tomatoes off our vines! Who knew dogs liked to eat tomatoes? None of ours ever have before. Y'all have a great day! Gwen :)

Morning, Guys! Had a really good weekend. We've been camped at the lake since the 1st of July...just hubby and I. We're close enough to home for me to go to work and for us to go to church, but it feels almost like vacation. He's pulling the camper home today. The next week or so may be triple digit weather, so it's a good time to head home. I've enjoyed our cooler/rainer days for the last week or so. Hope all have a great Monday! Catch y'all later! Gwen :)

For all those complaining about the weather maps on the Fox News web site, Janice has no control over those. Go to this page to report your issues: http://help.foxnews.com/entries/500742-what-do-i-do-if-i-see-an-error-on-foxnews-com and you can report your problem. Hey everyone else. I ran out of room on my last post but I wanted to add that we only got up to 72 yesterday. That felt downright cold after all the hot weather we've had! Have a great day, everyone! Margie

Hey to all you regular bloggers. It must be whining season with all the whiners posting on the blog. I wish people had more sense & would contact tech support for technical issues instead of clogging up our blog with their whining. I hope all the regular bloggers are having a good day. I talked to my mom yesterday. My dad took his cell phone with the speaker phone & I talked to both of them. She's still in the nursing home but she's comfortable. I'll keep you posted. Take care, all. Margie

How come the weather map only displays the Northeast part of the United States?
