  • A little taste of fall for some...

    Hi all!

Happy Friday.  This week went fast.  I think the Labor Day Holiday helped.  Our oldest Matthew had his first day of “school” and got upset when it was time to leave!  He loves his teachers and his little classmates.  So adorable.   Mom and Dad were very proud.  And thanks to everyone for your get-well comments for Theodore.  He’s doing much better this week.  Thank Goodness.

In weather news, a pretty impressive cold front will slice through the Northern Plains and Midwest bringing with it cooler temperatures:

But, the front will also bring the threat for strong to severe storms from the Great Lakes through the Ohio and Mid Mississippi Valley:

Scattered showers are in the forecast along the Gulf and Southeast Coast as well as the  Four corners and Great Basin.

In the tropics, looks like Hurricane Leslie will miss Bermuda this weekend and Hurricane Michael is not a threat either.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Talk to you Monday!

Gwen, I'm glad the Redskins won because the Steelers blew their game. I am glad Peyton did well, though. It will be interesting to see how the Redskins do this year. At least they're off to a good start! Margie

Oh, I meant to say to Margie, "Go Redskins!" RGIII looked impressive yesterday. Peyton looked pretty awesome in the Broncos game last night, too! Good to see him back on the field. I just enjoy watching him play (even though I love Tebow, too). :)

Happy Monday, Guys! Gorgeous Sept. morning here in MySouth. Yesterday was as well with a low of 55 and high of 81. Same again today, but the high may creep up a few degrees. Best of all, the stifling humidty has been blown away by this cold snap. I LOVE FALL! Dolores, I had not heard of the storms in OK, but I did hear of those in NY. Sorry to hear of the loss of life & property. We camping at the lake again this week. Spur of the moment, but too pretty not to. Catch y'all later! :)

Hey Everyone, I couldn't let the day go by with no posts from regular bloggers. I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It was a chilly 52 this morning & the high was around 77. The forecast low for tonight is 49--brrrr! I had to put a blanket on my bed this morning because I was cold so I might need 2 tonight! I decided I'm going to call my dr. tomorrow since I'm still not feeling well. Now I've been getting sinus headaches. What a pain! Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone. Margie

Hey regular bloggers. At least we had a few spam-free days. I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. We've had a little rain today but so far, nothing severe like they're having to the east. I wish there was a way for a storm to come and only wipe out all the spammers' computers. That tornado in Queens looked pretty frightening. I hope it didn't do too much damage. To all my blogging friends, I wish you a great weekend! Margie

Hi Everyone, I thought I'd take a minute to say hello. I managed to make it through the whole day at work today. I'm still a little congested but I'm feeling a lot better than I did yesterday. I'm looking forward to resting up over the weekend. Since I was off 2 days, it really doesn't feel like Friday but I'm glad it is! Have a great weekend, everyone! Margie

TGIF! Hope everyone is having a good day so far. Gosh, time sure does fly! Can't believe Matthew has grown so fast! They are little for such a short time. Our twins will start school (kindergarten) next year. Alli likes to sit in Mamaw's lap during church. Hunter usually sits in his Mommy's lap. I don't mind the wrinkled clothes. Before many more Sundays she will be too big to sit in my lap. I'll hold her close and enjoy it while I can. You blink and they're grown! TTFN! Gwen :)

Hi all: Time does have a way of fleeting. I tell young mothers to enjoy every moment of the little ones lives, because before you know it, they are off to college. J.D., your boys are a special gift from God. You and your husband are blessed, so enjoy them daily! Weather in the Midwest today is a little rain this a.m., and now sunshine with temps cooler. Suppose to have the 70's for the week-end. Now that's more my "style." Have a great week-end everyone. Audrey

I am with Don, I do believe we must be in a time warp, how can it be possible when a little guy we waited 9 months for is going to school!!!!! It's like we blinked and now Matthew is going to school, boy so proud of Mom as this must have been a huge moment in life for her and hope you all have a nice weekend..guess "San Diego" weather is a think in the past, a fond memory.AJ
