  • Severe weather for the Eastern Seaboard

    Hi everyone

We’re starting to see a severe weather situation unfold along the East Coast.  Tornado watches are up from North Carolina up into NYC.

We’re expecting very strong winds and the possibility for tornadoes through the afternoon and evening affecting millions of people.    This is a very similar situation to what we saw a week and a half ago that brought rare tornadoes to the New York area.

The storm prediction center has issued a “moderate” risk for this region, warning every one here (as well as those in the “slight” risk ) to be very aware of weather in the area.

Keep your weather radios on incase of power outages.

Delays are imminent at the airports, and travel this afternoon will be difficult and at times impossible.

We’ll certainly keep everyone posted from the Fox News Extreme weather center through the afternoon and evening.

    Be safe everyone.

    JD

Warm and dry conditions in Oregon have meant pleasant evening bike rides, etc., but also we're having an unusually late fire season. Two nights ago the level of particulates in my bike light was a little alarming. The weather trend appears it will hold for several days.

I think once Janice removes all the crap from this thread, there will only be about half the posts left. It's too bad that people don't have anything worthwhile to contribute. We definitely need some garbage removal. To all the regular bloggers, have a great night! Margie

Great, you never know what personality you're going to get: Jane Vogel, Pam McGhee or the Truth Fairy. I hope Janice checks in soon to get rid of the garbage. I'm wondering if all that spam is from another one of their multiple personalities. Trust me, we will never be disappointed by the absence of crap on this blog.

Don, I agree. I think an adjustment of meds is in order.

Tooth Fairy and all the alais's used is an obvious mental case.

Hey PJ, I hope Janice fixes the crap, too! It's been really bad lately. I hope all is well with you and that it stays cooler for you in TX. We have an absolutely delightful day here. Margie

It's hard to keep up with the regular bloggers amidst all the garbage that's on the blog lately. Janice will take care of it, though. My computer mustn't like Word Press or something because it keeps showing different numbers of posts--going up and down. It's hard to tell how many posts there are but I know there is too much spam. I wish all the regular bloggers a great afternoon/evening. Margie

To the real Dolores in OK, there isn't another Dolores on the blog (she didn't spell your name correctly, anyway.) That's Jane/Truth Fairy and she did the same thing to PJ a while back. Janice took care of it. Some people just need to get a life. Margie

Hello, two Dolores' from OK? That will be confusing, except for our spelling of names.I really think maybe one of ue should change our user name?Any advice out there,or am I being silly?

Hey folks, don't worry about Dr. Jane Vogel/Truth Fairy or whoever she really is. This is at least the 6th time in the last couple months she's written about being in a tornado. She added a lot of drama in this story this time but I severely doubt she's that much of a tornado magnet. I care very much about anyone affected by severe weather, but in this case I think it's just delusional. Margie

Boy, here we go again with delusional people. I do miss the peace and quiet we used to have on this blog. AJ, I'm glad things have cooled off a little for you. Hopefully that trend will continue. I hope all the regular bloggers have a great day. Margie

Dear, dear Joni and Margie too, having had many hurtful deaths in my life my heart is hurting for both of you, Joni, you have done your duty to your folks with so much love and giving of yourself and time, we all know, we lose them, they are in a better place, but ohh the pain we suffer that are left behind and I pray time to ease your pain because there is always a whole left where they had filled in and Margie, that is how Clare left for heaven same as your Mom.cont.

Hey Gwen, very well said. I hope Joni reads that. Hey to everyone else out there. It's a beautiful crisp day today--only around 60 so far. I just went to get my driver's license renewed and the mountains were beautiful. I have to go to work at 1:00. I wish I could take the whole day off! Take care, everyone. Margie
