Hey Don. Thanks for remembering my birthday! It got off to a cold start--a low of 39--brrrrr! My steering wheel was so cold that I wish I had gloves on driving to work this morning. I'm meeting a friend at Ruby Tuesday this evening. I have a coupon for a free birthday burger--yummy! I'll be celebrating with my family this weekend. I see a piece of yummy cheesecake in my future! Everyone in Va is receiving a new voter ID card this week. They list five forms of acceptable forms of ID for voting. Only in Virginia is your Concealed Gun Permit one of the five.

Hi, guys! Happy Monday to all. (Is that an oxymoron?) It is another lovely Fall day in MySouth. We're beginning to get a touch of Fall color, too. Will be heading to NC is 3 weeks for our Fall vacation. Don, you could have kept that NC snake bite info to yourself. HA! Although, I have never seen a snake in NC in Oct. Hope they'll all be hibernating by then. Hope all of our bloggers are having a good day! Mine has been pretty smoothe so far. Y'all take care & watch for snakes! Gwen :)

Hey folks, just thought I'd check in to say hello since it's been a little slow on this thread. At least the spammers are on the older threads and we have peace and quiet here. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I took a drive out to Garrett County to see if they had any fall colors yet. There were little spots of pretty colors but they have a ways to go before it's at peak color. I got some great pictures. Have a great evening, all! Margie

Hey Gwen, I'm glad you're having a good time at the lake. I got the Motel 6 reference, too. In fact, as I read it, I said it out loud like they did on the commercial. I'm glad everyone survived the chilly temperatures. I don't camp but I love going out to the lake at Rocky Gap to walk around and take pictures. It's such a pretty spot. They get deer and all kinds of critters there in the park. We have bears around so they've probably visited the park, too. I love nature! Take care, all. Margie

Oh, AJ, I'm glad you got the Motel 6 reference. Wasn't sure if anyone would catch that or not. We all had a wonderful night. Kids got in their sleeping bags around 10. Dwane, Eric and I sat up by the fire talking until almost midnight. They made it fine in the tent with the extra blanket I gave them. Margie, there are blue herons at the lake that we see often. Also geese, deer and squirrels. Even saw a snake yesterday. Ewwww! I hate snakes. Y'all have a great evening. Gwen :)

Hey Don. We have 69 right now. We got up to 82 yesterday. I drove out to Rocky Gap State Park yesterday after work and got some great pictures of a great blue heron. I'll have to send you a couple. Hi guys! Another glorious September day in MySouth. Planning to build a fire in the fire ring at the camper tonight and roast wiennies and marshmallows. Eric (#1 son) is setting up their tent next to our camper. He and his kids (Katie and Carter) and Nickolas, Jr. plan to stay in the tent. I'll let y'all know how that goes. I expect it might be a tad too cold for them out there all night. We'll leave the door unlocked (and a light on) for them. Y'all have a great weekend! Gwen :)

Hey,bloggers.This is th Real DoloresFromOK.I just had to say that. sorry.Back to summer remps here in OK.93 yesterday and today.I am soooo ready for much cooler temps.Saw little Bentley and she is doing so well.6 months old and adorable.She does love her Daddy. Hey folks, it's a beautiful day in Cumberland today. We're up to a nice sunny 77 degrees. It took the fog a while to burn off this morning but there's nothing but sunshine now. They had been calling for a 30% chance of showers but they changed the forecast to sunshine--I like that! I might go home and grab my camera and head somewhere to take some pictures. I agree with the others that Cookie Monster was joined by a big celebrity. Thanks for cleaning up all the spam, JD. Enjoyed the pics of the boys. They are growing so quickly! Cool mornings here with mild afternoons. No complaints. I hope all have a great weekend. JB
