  • Beautiful Fall Colors from my friend Maureen!

    Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday!  The weather here around NYC has been spectacular.  It’s truly my favorite time of year.  The air is crisp and clean, and when the sun is out, it warms your face and puts a pep in my step.  I always feel so energized in the fall.  And of course the fall foliage is always so breathtaking.  My good friend Maureen Walsh who also happens to be our “Keep America Beautiful Czar” here at Fox took these amazing pictures last night in Long Island where she was beautifying the anchors for the debates at Hofstra.  I had to post them for you!

You can follow Maureen on twitter @MaureenMakeup  She’s so much fun!  And of course, send me your pictures as well @janicedeanfox

In weather news, we have a pretty decent chance of strong to severe storms across the Mid-Mississippi Valley into the eastern Ohio and Tennessee Valleys with the main threat being hail and damaging winds, however tornadoes are possible:

Another  system moving through the Northern Plains and Midwest will bring  windy conditions throughout the region.  High wind warnings and advisories are in effect.

And in the tropics, Hurricane Rafael brought tropical-storm force winds to Bermuda last night, but is now  moving north and east away from Bermuda.  In the Eastern Pacific, Tropical Storm Paul is weakening and bringing rain to the Baja of Mexico.

If you’re up early tomorrow, I’ll be on Fox and Friends First bringing you the latest weather news…and then Friday through Tuesday I’ll be in Canada visiting friends and family.  I’ll be sure to check in tomorrow though before I head up North, EH!

    Have a great day everyone!

Hey BG! It's over 3 hours from Annapolis to Cumberland. It would be better if you waved as you flew overhead! If you let me know what time, I'll wave back! By November, there won't be any leaves on the trees so it won't be as pretty. I hope you have a fun trip. I'll have to root for Navy though, because they're like the home team, although I do make exceptions from time to time depending on who they are playing. Margie

Good afternoon Janice and all my friendly bloggers. Thanks Maureen for those beautiful pictures. we are playing Navy on Nov.17th,and I'll be flying there. Does Maryland have these kind of trees? I am renting a car and was thinking about driving to Cumberland, but it seems way to far from Annapolis. Sorry Margie, but maybe we'll be flying over and wave at you. Back to hot and humid weather here in SMT. See you in the AM Janice and have a safe trip to Canada. Have a great afternoon everyone.BG.

Are you going to have some ice wine? That's good wine made in Ontario. Can't buy it here.

Hey Janice, great pictures from Maureen! I love fall and taking pictures of the beautiful colors. I hope you enjoy your trip to Canada! Please post an open thread every so often because with only 3 days to post, we won't be able to "talk" for long! Hey to everyone else out there. I hope you all have a great afternoon! Margie
