  • Nor'easter moves into vulnerable areas

Well, we’re seeing insult to injury all along the Northeast Coast as a Nor’easter moves in and pounds areas that have had historic damage from Hurricane Sandy a week and a half ago.   Prayers are needed as people try to take shelter from yet another storm that could cause more damage, more power outages and more heartache.

This Nor’easter is bringing a mix of rain/snow and freezing precipitation along the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

The worst conditions will occur later today; especially tonight through tomorrow morning for the areas hardest hit by Sandy.  Winds tonight near the coast will gust to 60mph and coastal flooding is likely as northeasterly winds increase.

High Wind Warnings and Coastal Flood Warnings are in effect.  The heaviest, wet snow will fall across interior and mountainous portions of the Northeast including the Poconos, Catskills, Adirondacks and New England.  Snow will accumulate inland across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, where Winter Weather Advisories are in effect.

Some of the forecast models are showing a more  significant snowfall potential near the coast, so stay tuned to your local forecasts, and we’ll continue to update you from the Fox News weather center.

And unfortunately for the hundreds of thousands of people still without power, it is going to be bitterly cold tonight.

Another hard night for this battered coastline.  Please keep them in your prayers.

I hope and pray that those who need help due to the storms will receive it soon. I can't believe they had the FEMA control center closed due to weather. Are you kidding me!!!If it wasn't so sad and people needing help so badly, the irony would be humerous. I would think the officials and politicians would be better off making sure those that get help need it and worry less about photo ops and P.R. I guess that is asking too much. Hope all have a great weekend. JB

What is UP with this CRAZY weather these past few years. I have 7" of snow on my deck. And I am fortunate. Most of us in CT have power (i never lost mine due to Sandy). BUT BOY. Weather is HAMMERING us in the North East these past 2-3 years. !!!!

Saw JD's twitter post last night that power lines had snapped and she was officially without power again. Thoughts and prayers to all who are affected by these storms. Local company announced yesterday that it was closing it doors. 109 people now out of work. Don't mean to be a pessimist, but things aren't looking too good. I'm going to make every attempt today to get back to my positive self, cause (like Margie said) God is still in control. Thank you, Jesus, for my many blessings! :)

Sounds a lot like Katrina/Rita of 2005; 2 major storms in the span of a couple weeks.
