    A LOOK AHEAD TO THANKSGIVING WEATHER!

    Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday!

    I can’t believe next week is Thanksgiving.   I think a lot of us here in the Northeast feel like we lost 2 weeks of our lives after back to back storms and so much damage and destruction across our region.   I continue to pray for all those who have lost their homes and businesses.   It’s going to take months if not years to get neighborhoods and communities on their feet again. 

    Thankfully, an earlier storm we were watching is going to curve out to sea and not affect the East Coast next week.  This is good news for the storm ravaged regions who will get a prolonged period of dry weather to clean up and start rebuilding.

    The West Coast, however, is going to get slammed by several storms over the next few days, and even into next week’s Thanksgiving travel. 

    Inches of rain and feet of snow across the mountains.  This is not news to the region because we’re getting into their rainy season, but it’s not fun when millions of people are trying to get home for Thanksgiving.

    Here’s a quick peak ahead to your Wednesday travel day – which doesn’t look too bad.   No major storms to deal with so far!

    And finally, just a quick note to remind folks that as much as I love a good discussion, this is not the place to talk about politics.  It makes some people very uncomfortable (including myself) to see comments about the President and the election.  I enjoy all of our regular bloggers, but let’s try to keep things light and fun here on the blog.

Hey Dawn, we've been having that beautiful weather, too. Yesterday it was a beautiful sunny 55 & today so far it's 54 with lots of sun. Yesterday I worked at the art gallery from 3:30-8 & I knew it would get cold after the sun went down. It was 55 when I left my house. I'm glad I took a little heavier winter coat with me because it was 38 when I got home--brrrr! Hey Don, I wish we had robins all year. That must be nice. It's nice to see them in the spring, though. When the robins head south for the winter, thet come here. There are at least 50 of them just off my patio already and as winter set in there will be hundreds

Hey folks, just posting something to cover up the spam. I guess we're stuck with it for the weekend but at least it will get buried a little and we're not getting as much as we used to. I hope everyone has a great weekend. We have a beautiful sunny day here but it's cold--34. It is supposed to get up into the 50's. Take care, everyone!

Indeed Audrey. My family is dealing with all sorts of illnesses, from terminal cancer, to my beloved step-father's journey with Alzheimers. But he remembers my greenbean casserole and has asked for it specifically for Thanksgiving. Wont be the normal Thanksgiving gathering because of his struggle, but a few of us nonetheless will gather together at the Farm. Blessings abound. Grace is being poured out. "Life is Worthliving" as Venerable Fulton Sheen would declare! :)

Hi all: Today is the day for counting our blessings. Guess what? I have so many there is not room for them in this note. We are a blessed people, and I hope we all realize that we are, especially this time of the year. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone, and if nothing else, give someone a "little love." Hey Don, I figured I'd switch threads to reply to your comment about Navy. All this conference switching in college football is making me dizzy! It's hard to keep up with who is going where. I did hear talk a while back that with all the switching around, some longtime rivalries will not meet any more. That's too bad. Maybe some new ones will start. I'll be watching the Navy game tomorrow. If I knew what BG looked like, I'd look for him in the stands! Take care, all. Margie
