Good morning everyone!

We’re enjoying the most beautiful weather here in the Northeast right now.  Hard to believe we’re almost at the end of November.  Even harder to believe?  It was 3 weeks ago Sandy hit our shores.  In some ways, it  feels like it happened years ago.  So much has happened.  This Thanksgiving I will be thinking of those who are still suffering the aftermath of the storm.  So many people are still without power, without their homes and in some cases without their loved ones because of this devastating storm. 

We are lucky that nor’easter that we were watching this time last week never quite got its act together.  And it looks like as we head into the weekend, weather will be quiet across the Northeast — but it is going to get colder.  Significantly colder as we get into next week.

But for now, much of the country is very quiet with exception to the West Coast.   Rain, wind and snow continues to battering the Northwest.   Flood Warnings, Winter Storm Warnings and High Wind Warnings remain in effect.  Some stronger gusts along the Oregon and Washington coastline have exceeeded 80 mph,and this  active pattern will continue through the end of the week.

The rest of the U.S. will be relatively calm and dry for much of the week which is good news for travelers.  The next round of rain for the Midwest and Ohio Valley will arrive Friday with a cold front.  This front will bring much cooler air to the Great Lakes and East by the weekend.
