Beautiful picture of snow in PA!

Hi all!

So we’re getting a little shot of wintry weather across the Northeast right now.  It’s a quick moving system, and it’s going to cause some traffic delays heading home tonight, but it will be winding down over the next few hours.

Winter weather advisories are still up for several states with a few slushy inches expected.  Some isolated amounts closer to 6″ are possible in more mountainous areas.

Here’s a great picture sent to me by sunrise207 [1] Elaine Karpinski on twitter from Pennsylvania.  So pretty , isn’t it?

In other big weather news, flood watches are in effect across portions of Northern California where a big rain event is going to begin tomorrow and continue  through the weekend.  A widespread area of 4-8″ is possible and will extend into extreme southwestern Oregon.  Isolated rain totals over 10″ are possible, especially along the coast.  This will certainly be something we’ll be watching over the next several days.

Hope you guys are all doing well!  I have to admit, I did more online shopping for myself yesterday than my family!!  Heehee!
