    Wild West Weather

    Good morning everyone! 

    Happy Friday Eve!   The weekend is almost here, and so is the month of December.  We’ll be putting up our Christmas tree this weekend which I’m very excited about.   This is my favorite holiday of the year.   Our kids posed with Santa for the first time last weekend.  I wasn’t entirely on board with the Santa picture since I remember not having the most pleasant experiences with “Mall Santas” in my childhood, but the Santa that came to our little family resort over the Thanksgiving Holiday was very nice, so we took our chances.  Turns out the boys didn’t cry at all – in fact, Theodore, our youngest seemed to enjoy the whole experience.  I’ll post the pics tomorrow.

    In weather news, the West coast continues to get slammed by storms with more heavy rain, strong winds and a foot or more of snow.  The worst of the weather will be across Western  Washington, Oregon and Northern California:

    Over a foot of rain could fall over the next few days with wind gusts over 70 mph across the mountains. 

    Flooding and mudslides are likely due to the heavy rainfall.   Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be relatively quiet, with a nice warm up is in store across the central plains .

Gwen,sorry to hear about your Dr/My son-in-law is a GP and has an Urgent Care practice.He is VERY concerned,because he has alot of elderly as patients and does not want to stop caring for them and will continue as long as he can.But thanks to Obamacare.they are and will make it difficult to care for patients,and not make any profit, which is why most people have a business.Taxes are so high and going higher.We can only hope God has a plan to rid us of this blight in the WH before Jan 20th.

Lots of rain here on the WA coast. All the mountains around us (East, North, and Southeast) are all white and snowy. At least the icy cold winds coming down the Frazer River Canyon won't start for a month or two. They mainly affect the area East of us though. Will get the Christmas tree up in the next week. My wife hosts her St. Theresa church guild's Christmas meeting here each year. A bunch of super women!!

Gwen, I'm sorry to hear that your primary care physician is retiring. I think Obamacare will cause many others to do the same. I hope mine doesn't retire early! My dentist is getting close to retirement so I'll be looking for a new dentist in a couple years or less. When you find a doctor you like, it's hard to think of switching to someone different. I think a lot of folks will be very surprised when they realize how stinky things will get. These are scary times. Take care, Margie

Hi guys! Cold again here this morning, but should be a warmer weekend. Perfect for camping! I'm kind of bummed today. Just found out that my primary care physician is going to retire effective 12/21/12. Thanks, Obamacare. Now I'll have to find another doctor, and I really liked this one. He was retired military and took really good care of us TriCare members. So this just stinks! Dolores, I've been wondering what to do with my 401k. I had thought of gold. I'm very concerned. Gwen :(

Hey to all,Temps in Okla.are very spring like,60 today,sunny,and windy.75 for the weekend.I am waiting for WINTER to make an appearance soon.Christmas(not Holiday),decorations will go up this weekend.Little Corbin is now walking all over the place.He thinks he is so smart,and of course he is.I was so glad I got to see his first steps.Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.ATTENTION,keep your eyes on your 401 plan.Cash it in and buy gold.Government is lurking.Stay vigilent,Dolores

Hey everyone. I hope all are having a great day. Don, the low was 23 in one of the higher elevation in Cumberland. I think it was 25 at my house. It's 46 now. I'm looking forward to the weekend when the highs will be around 60. That will be nice! Have a great afternoon, everyone! Margie

It was 26 here this morning but will warm up to 54 later. I like the bottom part of the blog now. It's a lot quicker than going back to the top to go to a different Fox location
