Today is our 3rd day of rain. According to Fox radio it will continue raining tomorrow and tomorrow night turn to snow. Don't think they will continue to speak about a drought here. The island in the middle of the pond is well under water.
Gwen
It's still raining here. Lake Okatibbee is above flood stage and rising. May even turn to snow/ice tonight. We're being told to expect between 1 and 4 inches. That's enough to shut us down around here. I'll stay home and make snow ice cream...if I can remember to stop and buy milk and bread. That's a Southern thing...y'all may not do that! Sam, I do believe that I've noticed moss growing on the ducks. Hope y'all have a great evening. Gwen :)

Hey Gwen, you be careful in that nasty weather. Buying milk and bread is not just a southern thing. It's amazing how crazy the supermarkets around here get when there's a chance of snow. You'd think that people expected to be stuck for weeks with the way they act. They do it even when there's only a couple inches forecasted. People go a little overboard sometimes! Be careful out there, everyone--you, too, Don! Margie

YooHoo! Snow day! About 3 inches on the ground and still snowing...but it's warming up. 27 degrees now, but going up to upper 30s or maybe 40s. Probably won't last long. Hope y'all have a great day. I'm going to play in the snow with my little ones. On, A.J., Nick is well. Thanks for asking. :)

Good Thursday morning everyone. 28 this morning and climbing to 60. It's a beautiful clear day here in SMT. Wish we could get some of that snow that some of you are getting, but we are not that lucky. Besides, nobody knows how to drive in the snow over here. Nothing much to talk about, just love chatting with our friendly family on this blog. Have a happy and healthy day everyone. BG.

Hey Gwen! Have fun in the snow, but be careful! We just have clouds and a little wind. It's only 36 so it doesn't feel very nice outside. We've had quite a bit of rain this week. We wound up with somewhere around 1.25 inches. It was a cold rain so my bad knees did not like the cold, damp weather. I hope everyone is nice and warm and safe wherever you are. Take care, everyone! Margie

Hello folks! 40 degrees at 3pm pst, sun shining and looks like spring. The frost and ice from this morning is all gone for now. We need rain and snow in the mountains or next summer is not going to be pleasant. Irrigation water could be a premium in Eastern WA without a good snow pack. You guys back East and in the middle of the country sure get a lot more swings in weather than we do. A lot more violent also!! Take care! Be healthy! Sam

Richmond's water supply is the James River. We have had a drought. Today is the 4th day of heavy rain and now there is a flood warning from the river. The snow expected tonight is 2" to 4" from one source and up to 7" from another station. Doesn't seem to be an exacting science.

Hey Joni! I'm glad you got some snow down there. I bet the mountains are beautiful in snow. Be careful, though, if you're out and about! Hey to all the other bloggers out there. Have a good night, all! Margie
