    A quiet weekend for most

    Good morning everyone!  Happy Friday!  The weather is going to quiet down for a couple of days, and many of us should enjoy a pretty good weekend.

    The winter storm that brought rare snow to the Deep South is now exiting the coast. 

    Look at some of these snow totals from yesterday!  A lot of these areas set a daily record for snowfall:

    High pressure will take over and bring sunshine and dry conditions to much of the region.   We have a couple of fast moving systems that will race across the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes over the next few days bringing light snow to the area.  The West is also quiet this weekend with  some gusty winds across the passes and canyons of Southern California.  Next week a cold arctic plunge is on the way dropping temperatures to 25 degrees below average for many cities, so enjoy the relatively “warmer” weather today and tomorrow!

    And here’s a look at Monday’s Inauguration Forecast.  Chilly, and with the winds it will feel even colder for everyone outside!

Hey folks, just wanted to check in to cover up the spam on the blog. I'll be keeping Don in my prayers. He's had such a rough time lately. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I had a blast yesterday with my friend Stacy. She's a single mom of 4 boys so I took her out to pamper her with lunch and shopping. We had a great time. I also shopped for my parents. Talk about tiring! Take care, everyone! Margie

H everyone, just wanted you all to know I had about a 3 second call from Don saying he is in the hospital and heading down for a Catscan..he was trying to hold off from the intense pain till he went to Hopkins on the 29th...he doesn't have his Kindle Fire with him, I know you will all keep him in your prayers as you are so faithful in doing...JD hope you have a nice weekend with your boys and you all stay warm and safe cozy out there, we have San Diego weather back for a few days. AJ

Afternoon all! Beautiful, sunny day in MySouth. First sun we've seen in awhile. Our snow was mostly gone by late yesterday afternoon, but we did see about 3 inches on our hill before it started to melt. Kids got their snow day, made snowmen and snow angels, and we had snow ice cream. (Yes, A.J., it was goooood!) We've had a good bit of rain this past year. (Around 70 inches, where our normal is 52.) It's been pretty soggy here. Y'all have a great weekend. Gwen :)

Hey there Bloggers.Another sunny,cool day in OK.No sign of rain or snow in the coming forecast.hope everyone is staying healthy and keeping safe.The weekend brings an Inauguration of a President who has no intentions of keeping the oath he takes,How sad for our Country,and noe is talking about it.It seems Lance Armstrong and Manti Te'o is more important.I had to shut off Rush,because that was all he seemed to want to talk about.Sorry about the political stuff,just can't help myself sometimes.

Good morning, everyone. Janice, I hope you have a great weekend with your boys! It's cold & windy here. It got really windy overnight & now it's just plain nasty with wind chill in the low teens. We had some snow flurries this morning, which got really interesting when the sun came out from behind the clouds. It makes driving difficult with all the glare of the sun and snow together. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm supposed to get together with my dear friend Stacy so that will be fun. Take care, all. Margie
