'Particularly Dangerous Situation' Tornado Watch issued as intense twisters threaten central US

A rare, "Particularly Dangerous Situation" Tornado Watch was issued for parts of three states in the central U.S. on Monday afternoon as forecasters become increasingly worried that a life-threatening severe weather outbreak could allow for the development of intense supercell thunderstorms capable of producing long-track tornadoes, giant hail and hurricane-force wind gusts.
