    IT'S FREEEEEEEEEEZING!

    Hi all.  Sorry for the delay.  This week has gotten away from me.  A lot going on.

    First off, prayers to our friend Don who I hope is doing a little better.    It’s been a tough last few months for him.  We’re thinking of you buddy.

    The big weather story is the extreme cold.    A big arctic blast has settled in across the Midwest, the Great Lakes and into the Northeast. 

    Temperatures will warm up a bit this weekend, but by the end of next week, we will be back into the freezer.  Don’t put those winter gloves/hats scarves away yet.  We still have  lot of winter go go. 

    Wind Chill Warnings and Advisories remain in effect from the Great Lakes to Pennsylvania and into New England as prolonged exposure to wind and temperatures remains dangerous, especially during overnight hours.

    Lake-effect snow continues downwind of the Great Lakes.  Totals off Lakes Erie and Ontario are already over 2 feet in some locations.

    We’re watching another system that will bring snow to the Midwest and Ohio Valley Thursday-Friday before moving toward the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Friday afternoon and early Saturday.  It’s still unclear how organized this system will be once it reaches the East Coast, but for now it appears that at least several inches of snow will be possible so stay tuned!

    Meanwhile, across the West and the South it has been quite nice.  So we’re all jealous!  LOL!  This was me earlier today reporting outside.  As you can see, fashion goes out the window when it comes to reporting in single digit windchills!  Thanks to Meredith White and Bailey Melton for taking the picture!  They came all the way from Mississippi to see us!

Hi to all bloggeres.Don,prayers are with you.Why can't this blog be on the Fox home page all the time like Gretawire?I know I miss some blogs.I finally had my birthday lunch on Tuesday with three of my four children.Tom in Florida joined us via skype for a few minutes.So it was great.Great food,lovely restuarant .beautiful day,60degrees. I am always amazed at how smart and informed my adult children are. They are all family oriented and producers and good people.Blessed I am.Keep safe.Dolores

Alton New Hampshire is very cold this morning I had to let my V8 warm-up for about a half hour this today. Where is all the global warming I was promised. I have my bathing suit In hand And I am standing by Al Gore!

Nice to hear it's freezing up there in the liberal northeast...a quick reminder...the northeast is DEFINITELY NOT the center of the world nor the only weather going on in the world...

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Tuesday heading to John Hopkins. Will not come soon enough. The last couple hours I started passing blood again which has me concerned. When the home health care nurse comes tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised if she suggests I go back into the hospital.

Hope Don is doing well. All bundled up, you still look marvelous, JD. The hockey player with M.S. that you did the feature on Megyn's show about started off the season with a shutout in goal for Minnesota against Dallas a few days ago. A courageous young man and I hope he has a great season. 74 here right now and possibly 80 tomorrow. I can handle a winter like this. Hope all have a great hump day. JB
