  • POSSIBLE BLOCKBUSTER STORM FOR NORTHEAST

    Hi All

We are watching a big storm system come together over the next few days that could bring millions of people a bigtime snow-maker.

Here’s what we know so far:

Two storms will come together.  One across the North, and the other from the South.

Once they merge together, there is potential for several feet of snow for New England.   The worst of the snow/wind will come Friday overnight into Saturday, so be prepared and start thinking about your travel plans if they involve the northeast!

The exact timing, path, and intensity is still yet to be determined, but one thing is for sure – the ingredients are there for a major event.

We’ll have a better idea of the details tomorrow, and I’ll be sure to break it down for you then!

Hey Don, we'll keep praying for you. How are you feeling? Keep us posted on how you're doing. Take care, Margie

Going to my doctor in an hour for tests requested by Hopkins. The 13th I go to Hopkins for more tests and then I have to stay in a hotel as the following day I will have surgery and Medicare will not allow me to stay the day before the surgery. They are going to attempt to laser the blockage out first, (I believe this is a Medicare request) instead of major surgery.

To MauryMc: If I remember correctly people had the same complaints of over emphasis as Hurricane Sandy approached. But we know how that monster storm turned out. So I suggest you quit your ignorant complaining and find a more constructive use of your time. Hey to all the regular bloggers out there. I hope everyone is safe and sound wherever you are. Dawn, be careful up there since you're in the path of the storm. Have a great day, all. Margie

I personally consider myself in the top 5% of Fox & Friends in the AM, but even I have to mute the sound when your weather analysis uses phrases "epic", "extreme", "colossal" when it is another cold snow storm. And wind by all accounts is universally average wind speed, with gusts to speed, not "severe wind speeds of 30, 40, 50 mph". Over what period of time, since I don't want to be there at the next interval if it is accelerating as time goes on. J.D. please tone down the rhetoric!

02/07/2013 Good morning! I wonder, do we have any chance of snow in the southeaSt during the remainder of what little winter we have left? Specifically, areas including below the "fall line".

.....One more thing (as The Five say): For anyone who might be interested, there's a website called Green Beans Coffee Company. They have a program called "Cup of Joe for a Joe" which provides free cups of coffee to our military personnel around the world. You might want to check it out and donate so that a troop can have a cup of coffee on you. You can leave your email address and get a "thank you" from the one who got the coffee. Who knows? You might buy a cup for my son. Thanks! :)

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! My guys are paid and I can breathe a little easier the rest of the week. Sorry to hear that Matthew isn't feeling well. Mommies get little rest when their babies are sick. We had really heavy fog this morning, but it cleared out nicely. Can you believe it got up to 70 degrees today? Japanese Magnolias are in full bloom. Storms due in tomorrow...hopefully, not severe. Y'all have a great day! Gwen :)

I watched your forecast of the big storm expected up north. May I say the blue outfit you had on was just right? Our weather here on the coast just putters along. Same old grey, no sun, no nuthin"! The moles are happy though and are doing a fine job of plowing up my back yard. Hope all you easterners are well battened down and the folks in the Sandy storm area have protection available as needed.

I do miss the North East fall colors and certainly my stay in Plymouth/Cape Cod outside the winter. Certainly glad no longer to live right on the cliff at the beach during these North Eastern storms. The cold and snow I do not miss.
