Happy Valentine's Day to JD and all our blogging family. Thanks to you all for being such good pals for the last few years. I know it's been over 5 years that most of us have been together here. My little twin grands are about to be 5, and I remember well posting a picture of them w/Nickolas Jr when they were born. Time is getting away from me! Thoughts and prayers for Don today. Y'all take care! Gwen :) P.S.: JD, the cognac diamond looked good on you!

Happy Valentine's Day to all my blogging friends! I hope everyone has a great day today. I wanted to check in before this thread expires. It's been a little quiet on the blog lately. JB, I loved your comment about being on the Dean's list--too funny! Gwen, I'm glad you made it through the storms safely. That's a lot of rain you've gotten. No wonder you're waterlogged! Don, you're in my thoughts and prayers. Have a great day, everyone! Margie

JD, great photos in the snow. Looks like y'all had a great time. Thanks for sharing with us. Don, congratulations to your granddaughter. I also made a Dean's List in college, however I believe the list I was on was called "disciplinary probation". Mom and Dad were so proud! Hope all are doing well. JB

National Gepgraphic Channel is showing O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln Sunday night. RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - If you liked Steven Speilberg's Lincoln, you may want to check out the docu-drama Killing Lincoln. Tom Hanks narrates the story, which is based on the best-selling book, Killing Lincoln by Bill O'Reilly. The book depicts the life of the man who assassinated the president, John Wilkes Booth. National Geographic Channel is behind the project. It premieres Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Carpenter Theatre at Centerstage. Admission is free, but you're asked to make a reservation.

Don, congrats to your g-daughter. I know you're proud of her accomplishment. Raining again today! My boys used to have a Dr. Seuss book "I Wish That I Had Duck Feet". I'm beginning to feel like I've got duck feet. We've had over 17 inches of rain since 1/1/13. My toes are beginning to web. Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well, Margie. Sinus infections are no fun. I actually had sinus surgery some years ago because of chronic problems. Hope all will soon be well. Gwen :)

Too funny, Don! I'm sure you are very proud of your granddaughter. Making the dean's list with a 3.9 average is quite an accomplishment. Good for her! Hey to everyone else out there. It's another mild day but the wind is certainly blowing out there. The high wind gust is 40 mph. I think it's dying down a little from what it was when I came to work. I'm going to the dr. this afternoon. I think I have another sinus/respiratory infection. One of these days I'll feel healthy. Take care, all. Margie

Just learned my grand daughter made the deans list with a 3.9 average at UVA. It's about time someone in the family takes after me. HAHAHA

Great pictures, JD! Looks like everybody was having fun in the snow...even Mom, the Snow Angel. We were blessed not to have had the tornadoes that ripped through yesterday. Lots of damage an hour's drive south, but here...it's just raining. My friend, JR, said that yesterday his rain gauge filled up and was spilling over. So he knows he got 5 inches, but not sure how much over. We had gotten 3 inches in our gauge, but it has rained all day again today. I'm ready for some sun! Gwen :)

Hey Janice, it looks like your family had fun! We got a few snow showers and a little sleet but that's all we got out of the storm. Today it's 64 degrees--go figure! It is windy though, and we have a wind advisory. We've actually had sunshine for 3 days in a row now. It's beautiful after such cloudy weather for so long! Hey to all the other bloggers out there. I hope everyone is safe & sound. There's been some crazy weather lately. Take care, everyone. Margie

Great pics. Here the flowering quince are in bloom and the daffodils are coming up. Amazing how much difference 300 miles can make.
