Don, just called, and is still in the hospital and still in horrible pain, they did a ultra sound and cat scan trying to find the problem and they aren't giving him as much pain meds as he gets at Hopkins, AJ

Hi all I hate to say it but, it is 66 and sunny in TX. Will pray for Don and Margie and all with health problems. My dog is loving the weather he has been laying in the yard snoozing for a hour now. Ha ha What a life. Hope all are safe and well. PJ

Another lovely day in the South! Yesterday afternoon, we had a storm w/marble sized hail. Fortunately, no damage done to vehicles around here, but lots of reports of damage in Jackson and other points to our west. Cooler day today (highs in upper 60s). Saw a retweet from JD about severe weather this weekend. I hope not! We are back home from camping, so at least I won't have to worry about the camper blowing away. Y'all have a good day! Gwen :)

Hi Folks, it was 98 last week in Palm Springs and here 60 and overcast and damp..Margie, happy you had a nice evening with dear friends, the best gift of all..everyone says the weather is not the same as it use to be all over the world and here in USA..Gwen, bet you slept great after such a busy day with the grands.AJ

Hey folks. We actually had some thunder snow today. I had to have my friends confirm that I actually heard thunder with that snow. It was a weird day today. We got about 4" of really wet snow & there was some sleet mixed in with that. It was ugly but all the precip is over now. I went out to dinner with some dear friends. They've been supportive thru all my health issues & Vicki will be accompanying me to the hospital when I have my surgery. I'm blessed with great friends! Take care, all. Margie

Afternoon folks. Warm day in MySouth...currently 81 at 4:00 PM. We've jumped right from Winter to Summer....just skipped Spring totally. It is supposed to cool down a little by the end of the week. Margie,got you on my prayer list. Hope the surgery takes away all the pain. Had a lovely day off last Friday with all 5 grandkids at the Lake. They had tons of fun, but Mamaw was really tired by the end of that day. Hope all have a great week! Gwen :)

Well Janice, I see some people don't know what fun stuff means. Hey folks. I'll just post something so you don't have to see the whining the first thing on the blog. We have snow today but it's really wet and it will probably be gone tomorrow. My crocuses are putting up a good fight against the snow. I hope everyone is safe and warm wherever you are. Everyday news comes up that thoroughly disgusts and upsets me. Now I understand the U.S. will give food stamps to mexico while the USDA has shut down. My son who is with U.S.Customs/Homeland and has been for over 27 years has had his income cut 20% with this sequestration nonsense. kerry goes to egypt and gives them $250mm. Apparently there is plenty of money to give to foreign lands instead of taking care of our own. The frustration of the American public is very close to the boiling point.
