  • Labor Day forecast!

    Good morning everyone!

Hope you’re enjoying your long weekend!  Thought I would give you an update on what the weather will be like for your Labor Day BBQ’s!

We’ve got a cold front moving into the eastern third of the country  bringing the potential for some scattered storms.   It’s going to be pretty muggy ahead of the front, and you should definitely have another plan if the storms move into your picnic area!

The front will linger across the region through Tuesday, but once it moves through we’re in for a pretty nice mid-week.

The Central U.S. is in pretty good shape for the most part.  Some lingering showers for the Ohio Valley and parts of the eastern Great Lakes.  Temperatures will be hot over the south.

Unfortunately, the West will deal with more showers and thunderstorms with an upper level system in the Northwest and more monsoonal type storms for the Southwest.  Flash flood watches are posted for many states.

Have a great day everyone!  Let me know what you’re up to!

Hi Margie and all those who come on later. Margie I'm beginning to think that one never fully recovers from a surgery. But we just keep on truckin', right? I dug a few potatoes yesterday. These were Norcotahs and are supposed to be medium sized. One was 7" long and weighed over a pound. Nice and smooth and clean. Fall has arrived in the Pacific Northwest, leaves starting to drop and the nights are definitely cooler! Take care all. Sam

Hey Janice, hope you had a nice holiday weekend. I took a weekend off from visiting my mom and I've been resting. It's nice to do nothing for a change! I've been working on a few projects every once in a while but mostly I've been taking it easy. I'm still trying to heal from my surgery back in April so it's nice to get some rest. Hey to everyone else out there. I hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. Take care, everyone. Margie
