    Happy weekend everyone!

A quick update on what’s happening outside…I had to forecast two wedding this weeknd.  One of them in New Jersey, the other in Arkansas.  I’m pretty confident about my Arkansas forecast, but New Jersey was tough since we’ve got this cold front on our doorstep.  Hopefully the rain will hold off until after the photos are taken at 6:30! (Fingers crossed)

We do have heavy rain in the forecast for the South as that same cold front that is moving in the Northeast stretches down into the Gulf Coast states pulling up deep tropical moisture from the Gulf.

1-3 inches is possible from Louisiana through Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia.

Flood watches and warnings are in effect.

Ultimately this is good news for an area that has been dry for sometime.

Showers and thunderstorms will push into the Northeast through West Virginia today and then across the 1-95 corridor tonight/tomorrow bringing temperatures back down to 5-15 degrees below average on Monday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be widespread from the Northwest through Northern California into Sunday

And we’re also watching Typhoon Usagi- the strongest typhoon to hit Asia this year as it barrels towards Hong Kong (population over 7 million people!)  The storm should weaken before it moves ashore, however, strong hurricane force winds, flooding rain and storm surge has put that region under high alert.

That’s it from here.  Hope you’re all having a great weekend!  Let me know what you’re up to!

Well, it looks like I'm going to have to find some other football teams to cheer for because both the Redskins & Steelers suck this year. Usually, when one is having a bad year, the other is doing better but not this year. I know it's only halfway through the 2nd quarter but the Steelers are already down by 20 points. Maybe a miracle will happen but I won't see it since I turned the tv off. I give up! If they lose, they'll join the Redskins at 0-3. How fun.

Hey Sam! You made me hungry with all those veggies you mentioned! You can't beat fresh produce. We had lots of rain yesterday. Where my mom lives got about a half inch. Here in Cumberland we got almost an inch. It was wet, windy, and ugly yesterday! Hey to everyone else out there. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Margie

It was supposed to rain today but so far hasn't. We finished digging the potatoes, picked a few more zuchinni, and tied the tomatoes up better so the slugs don't eat them all up. Belle peppers won't last much longer and I'll pull the walla walla onions tomorrow. Hope you all had a good weekend and a super week ahead. Sam
