  • Northwest gets winterized and clocks fall back!

    Hello everyone!

Happy Weekend.  Hope you all had a safe Halloween!   Matthew and Theodore had a blast.  They are at such a great age.  Matthew ran out of his bedroom Halloween morning and asked:  “Mama is it candy day?”  And, Theodore was adorable ringing and knocking at everyone’s door.  He was so polite and thanked everyone for his piece of candy.   It was a great day.  And now, I can’t believe November is here.  The holidays are going to fly by…

In weather news, it’s beginning to look a lot like jingle bells across the Northwest with temperatures dropping and winds gusting over 55 mph.

6-12 inches of snow will pile up across the Cascades.  This system will then push into the Plains and bring unsettled weather (including snow) next week.

The rest of the country takes a bit of a break.  We have that big storm that blasted the Plains/Mississippi Valley and Northeast this week exiting the coast.  Colder air sinks into the Midwest and Great Lakes with some scattered light rain or snow possible.

I’ve got a fun event coming up next week which I will tell you all about in the next few days.  It’s a little different than my usual day to day weather duties.  I’m excited about it, so keep checking back here for details!

And don’t forget Daylight Savings Time ends.  We’ll get an extra hour of zzzzzz time!

Hi all. A blustery day here on the WA coast. Wind, some rain, thunder, etc. Lights are flickering but nothing unusual. I was going to go to Wenatchee for apples but it is probably snowing in the passes. 230 miles each way. An 8 day clam dig started yesterday but I'm betting the surf will be too high for good digging. The waves pack the sand and the clam dimples don't show up. Hope all is well with the bloggers here.
