  • Plenty of weather this weekend...

    Hi everyone!

Mother Nature is busy again with plenty to talk about in the weather department.  First off, let’s discuss this INSANE warm up!  Look at what the temperatures were less than a week ago across the Midwest, and the huge warm up this weekend:

    Same goes for the Northeast:

Meanwhile, we’ve got showers and thunderstorms flaring up  ahead of a cold front over the Eastern third of country.  Flash flooding and the threat for severe storms will persist across the Southeast and Midatlantic.

There’s also a risk for ice jams and flooding on rivers creeks and streams in the Northeast.  Expect a rainy windy football game at Foxboro!

And a strong storm moving into the Northwest will bring strong winds and plenty of moisture.

Flooding rainfall from Washington to Northern California is possible with heavy mountain snow (up to three feet) for the Cascades and Northern Rockies.

Another blustery, rainy NFL game in Seattle this afternoon.

What are you all up to this weekend?  Be safe and stay dry!

We all know about the use of pipelines to transport many things, here's a thought I had . Why not transport the over abundant amount of water from the Mississippi River to California or any other State in great need of water, this would serve a dual purpose, the obviouse is in drought areas but also to elliviate flooding in flood prone ares along the Mississippi River ?

Good morning to all the regular bloggers out there. Just saying hello to cover up the stupid spam. We had a beautiful day yesterday. It didn't get quite as warm as they called for but 48 felt pretty balmy compared to what we had a week ago! I hope everyone has a great day! Margie

Janice, not a regular blogger, but I always enjoy reading the comments of your "blog family". Just had to let you know I gave "Freddy The Frogcaster" to my great-granddaughter for Christmas. Her daddy just happens to be a meteorologist and HE loved it more than she did! Love seeing the pics of your beautiful boys. I also had two boys who are now 46 & 50! So enjoy them while they're small; it goes by too fast!

Hi all. Yep, I believe I may reach football overload. Watched both games yesterday. Not a Saints fan, so was happy to see Seahawks win, too, Sam. Just finished watching SF win and now am watching Broncos. Hope that Peyton and his guys take it all the way this year. Beautiful, sunny day with a high of 64 here in MySouth. Glad to see that JD says we'll have plenty of "weather" this weekend. We generally have weather around here every day...some days good, and others--not so good.:)

How about dem Seahawks! Kind of nasty weather but the final score came out OK. The wind hit here about 11pm Friday, the metal sheeting on my shed roof blew loose about 1am. Got it all repaired and still had time to watch football. It pays to have contractor friends!! Hope you are all OK, enjoy the rest of the weekend. Audrey, who is Peyton Manning? What high school does he play for? :) Sam

Wow! Does it seem great to have warmer temps? That frigid stuff we had about one week ago was really something! I thought we had moved to Siberia!!! Sunny today with a temp around 45 degrees. We must enjoy whatever we get daily and live each day to its fullest. Watching lots of football this week-end. One by one my favorites fall by the wayside, but Peyton Manning is still in the running! Go Peyton. Enjoy tonight's game everyone. Audrey
