  • It's snowing...again!

    Hi All…

    Here we go again…

Another winter storm is bringing snow from the  Midatlantic to New England.

The heaviest snow will set up across coastal Massachusetts to Central Maine where over a foot is possible overnight with blizzard conditions for coastal Mass, Cape Cod and the Island and Maine.

Another weak clipper will spread light snow across the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes bringing a couple more inches of snow to that region.  This system will push into the Midatlantic and Northeast Monday/Tuesday with what looks like more snow accumulation!

And in good storm news, the Northwest and Rockies is getting more much needed rain and snow.

It’s obviously problematic for travelling, but it’s helping to relieve some of the drought over the region.

And, since I was off the last couple of days with the family, I was able to make a very nice snow angel before my wonderful husband shovelled the driveway:

(Yes, I’m still in my jammies!)  Trying to keep it fun, even though I am pretty sick of the non-stop snow this winter!

Oh, and by the way, I’m in for Rick tomorrow on Fox and Friends with my buddies Mike and Juliet!  I will make a non-weather prediction and say I think the show has a high probability of being quite entertaining! :)

Boy, we certainly have had the whiners lately, haven't we? I guess people will never learn that a national newscast only has time to cover the most severe weather that affects the most number people. If you want your local weather, listen to your local news! Hey to all the regular bloggers out there. I hope everyone is having a good week so far. We got a little over an inch of snow last night but with the beautiful sunshine & almost 50 degrees, that snow is gone & so is a good bit of the 12+ inches we got last week. Take care, everyone! Frankly a little tire of all your weather being east coast centered. Places like Michigan have been buried in snow since November hardly a word unless there is a pile up on I94. There is stuff that happens outside the East and west coast.

Hey to all the regular bloggers. I see it's been quiet on the blog today except for the whiner. I just wanted to post something so you don't see a complaint the first thing on the blog. We're supposed to get more snow tonight. I'm so tired of all this snow. It is supposed to get warmer later in the week so that will be nice. I can't wait til spring! I hope all the regular bloggers are having a great day. Take care, everyone! Margie

Sonoma Dan

Hi to my JD Blog friends and hope that everyone is safe and warm! Sonoma was a 'balmy' 64 degrees today with beautiful blue sky and sunshine! The downside (always seems to be one!), the desperately needed rain predicted for last night barely produced a raindrop! Margie, I chuckled when I read your post - all the years that I lived in Columbus, OH I remember waking up in the morning to three+ inches of "little or no accumulation!" Weather is very difficult to predict in that part of the country!

Hi, Guys! It has been a beautiful day in MySouth. Reached a high of 73 today. Warmest day we've had in weeks. Hold on, gang. I really believe Spring is on the way. Hubby and I actually got out this afternoon and took a long walk at Lake Okatibbee. Will be camping there in 2 weeks. Really looking forward to that. JD, you were so cute this morning on F&F Missed Rick, but always glad to see you. Y'all take care and have a great week. 70s all week here. Yea! Gwen :)

OK, this snow can stop any time now. The forecast was for a 50% chance of snow showers. Well, this "shower" has been going on for over 3 hours. Thankfully, with all the sunshine yesterday, it warmed up the road surface so it's not sticking, but there is close to 3" of really wet snow on top of my bird feeder that wasn't there before. I've had enough! This snow isn't even showing on the radar so I don't know what's going on. I can't wait for spring! Margie

J.D. You are having "so much fun with this winter weather." Almost hate to see it go because of that reason. You paint such a bright picture inspite of all the snow, etc. we have experienced in recent weeks...months.. Seems like SPRING will never come, but we have sunshine today and expect 40 plus degrees this coming week. Oh my, there goes the snow!!!!! Have a wonderful day everyone, and stay warm and safe. Audrey

Hey everyone. Just thought I'd check in between snow storms! We got a little more snow yesterday but the heavier stuff was east of here. Kristen, you don't have to apologize for posting something non-weather related. We do that all the time here. Food has been a favorite topic of ours, especially chocolate! I hope Janice answers your question. Sam, be careful with all those high winds. It's been windy here but nothing like out your way. Have a great day, everyone! Margie

47 and overcast. We are waiting for a storm to hit this afternoon with sustained wind at 40, gusts to 60. Then tomorrow afternoon the same thing happens again. Winds in the mountains North and East of us are slated for 70 mph. We seem to push rain as far as San Fran fairly well but south of there not so much, if at all. Hope you all are having a good weekend and are staying warm and safe. Sam
