Thoughts and prayers for Dan following surgery and through recovery. Beautiful day today in MySouth. I wish I could show pictures of my Bradford pear and Redbud trees. Also, the Japanese Magnolia. Love this time of year, but we'll have cooler temps next week. We've just returned from 2 weeks camping. Must admit that it got a little cold for this Southern belle a few of those days. A windy 45 degree day on the water is "chilly"! Hope all have a great day. Gwen :-)

Decent day today and I drove out to the beach and back. The skunk cabbages are opening up in the swampy areas so spring is officially here. The bears will be feeding on them then when it warms up a little more they will get into the cascara trees for the sap. That will clean out their systems!! Then on Saturday we have a rodeo and horse show at the county fairgrounds. have a good one. Sam

Hey Sam, you're making me jealous with all that stuff you have in bloom! Wish I was there! We've had temperatures in the 40s the past couple days. At least that has melted most of the snow we got on Monday. I'm so looking forward to warmer weather! Take care, everyone! Margie

Spring is indeed looking imminent here. The first magnolias are opening and camellias, flowering plum, and Japanese cherries are all trying to outdo each other. Happy anniversary Isadora and Nick. Good luck and prayers go out to Dan. It was windy with rain earlier but has calmed somewhat. Take care all, be safe...........Sam

Hi, Janice! Tomorrow is the first day of Spring, but the trees are already budding here in Northern California, including my Japanese maple that's still alive! Today is Nick C's birthday and our 31st wedding anniversary. Nick bought me a pretty green garden shovel, but I really wanted a wheelbarrow. That's ok, he also brought home a big bouquet of flowers. Hope YOU are well and hope Spring comes for YOU soon.

Hey Janice, thanks for the open blog! Hey to everyone else. I wanted to share something that Dan sent me yesterday. He tried to post on the blog yesterday but the thread expired. He is having his surgery TODAY so please keep him in your thoughts & prayers. Here's what he wrote yesterday: "Hello to all my blogger friends! Hope that everyone is keeping warm and that you enjoyed a great St. Patrick's Day dinner. I'll be off the blog for a while as my surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning (Thurs. 3/19). I've been on a clear liquid diet since Sunday morning, so no corned beef and cabbage for Dan! Your kind thoughts, prayers and positive energy are greatly appreciated in helping me get through this! All the best-Dan"
