  • Girls Trip in Las Vegas!

    Janice Dean | Meteorologist

    Hi everyone

Sorry for the delay.  My friend Karen and I were in Las Vegas for a pre-birthday girls trip!  We had a great time.  Here’s a couple of pictures we got taken at Elton John on Saturday night.

I’m back later this week.  Hope you’re all doing well.

    Hi everyone!

I am officially on vacation and will be back a week from Saturday!  I’ll be sure to post some pictures of my adventures on Facebook and twitter if you follow me there…I’m heading on a fun girlfriend trip later this week.

I’ll post some Open Blogs as well.  Hope you’re all feeling great, and I’ll talk to you all soon!

  • Easter weekend forecast!

    Janice Dean | Meteorologist

    Hi everyone!  Happy Easter!

We’ve got a pretty nice weekend in store for egg hunting for the most part with exception to a couple of areas:

There’s a disturbance across the southeast will continue to bring heavy rain today and Sunday. Flash flooding will be a concern from Florida up into the Carolinas and Virginia.

Light rain and a wintry mix will stick around for parts of the Upper Midwest and great lakes (with improving weather for Sunday)

And a few strong to severe storms are possible over Texas with large hail and damaging winds being the primary threat, but we could see an isolated tornado or two especially in the afternoon hours on Sunday and Monday

Otherwise, not too bad a forecast for our Easter Bunny friend…enjoy your weekend with family and friends!

    Hi All!

Here’s your chance to chat this Good Friday!  I’ll have a look at your weather for the weekend a little later on…

And here’s a picture I took on Wednesday…we had snow on the ground and ice on the windshield.  Thankfully it melted quickly when the sun came out…

  • Breaking weather records and breaking out the chocolate!

    Janice Dean | Meteorologist

    Hi All!

It’s been a crazy winter to begin with, but with this last storm system, a couple of things happened…

    First up, Chicago:

And Detroit is now NUMBER ONE for the snowiest season on record:

We’ll also break some record lows tonight…

Look at some of the drops in the last 24 hours…

And because it’s tax day, and we’re in for some snow – I thought it was time to break this out:

There are better days ahead for much of the country as we get closer to Easter.  Here’s a look at your Sunday forecast:

I suggest a chocolate break for everyone today!
