  • Another summer cool down!

    Hi everyone!

Happy Monday.  We had a busy weekend of weather, and although things are going to calm down a bit in terms of severe weather, a lot of us are going to feel another summer cool off this week!

For today, there’s the risk of strong to severe storms across northern New England with possible damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.  Heavy rain could cause some flooding issues:

This strong July cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms along and ahead of the boundary. Heat advisories are in place for areas along the Gulf and Southeat Coast.

And this next cool, dry airmass has moved into the Midwest with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s!  Some record lows are possible over the Ohio Valley.

The “monsoon” season is bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms across the Southwest and Rockies.   We had injuries and one death due to lightning off the coast of Southern California yesterday with more dangerous lightning possible today.

Tomorrow I’m going to be out in Far Rockaway, Queens doing reports about how to get prepared for hurricane season.  150 kids are going to come out for a “PREP RALLY” to “Get Ready Get Safe” for the next possible storm.  You can visit their website here:

    I’ll see you all then!
