  • More heavy rain for the West Coast, and Best in Show!

Good morning everyone!  Happy Wednesday.  If you’re up early, join us for Fox and Friends– I visited the Westminster Kennel Club 141st Best in Show last night, and interviewed the winning dog (and her owner and trainer) Rumor the German Shepherd.  It was so much fun and I can’t wait to take you inside this incredible event.

Ok – back to weather.   We’ve got storm affecting both coasts over the next few days.  Heavy snow will develop over parts of the Great Lakes and Northeast through Thursday.

The same storm that brought severe weather across Texas yesterday and the Gulf Coast will threaten parts of Florida and Georgia today:

Winter weather advisories are posted across the region into New England.

Meanwhile, the West will get another big round of heavy rain and snow from Washington State down into southern California.

Several inches of rain will cause flooding concerns along the coast – including the city of Ornoville where we have a dam that’s being watched very carefully for a possible breach.

We’ll monitor this story over the next few days.  The good news is the drought across the West is being erased, but the flooding, mudslides, rockslide concerns will be ongoing.

I hope you will join us for Fox and Friends today!  So excited to introduce you to the winning dog Rumor the German Shepherd.

Hey Sam, glad you didn't get any major flooding. We've had quite a bit of rain this winter. Thankfully, it's been warm enough that we've had rain instead of snow but that also means no snow days at the college where I work. We had a delayed start and an early closing but that was it for the whole winter. Starting tomorrow, we have a stretch of 60+ degree temperatures for several days. I like that! I hope all the regular bloggers are having a good week. Take care, everyone! Margie

Hi all, it's Hump Day! Rain and wind all night last night but just drizzly and overcast now. Aberdeen had flood watch up all weekend but only a few spots downtown were under water. A normal occurrance when we have lots of rain and a high tide at the same time. hope all the bloggers are doing well and coping with the wild weather. Take care, be safe...Sam
