  • A warm up (finally!) for the Northeast

Good morning everyone.  Hope you’re having a great week.  I’ve got some great news if you live across the Northeast.  Finally, a break in the weather pattern will bring some much needed warm temperatures and drier conditions as we head into the weekend.

We’ve still got the chance for heavy rain and local flooding over parts of Florida and the Southeast.

This is ultimately a good news situation as this area has been dry and into a drought for the last few months.

Meanwhile, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from west Texas to the central and southern High Plains; as well as the interior Northwest.

And extreme heat is the story across the Southwest:

Have a great rest of the workweek.  See you on Fox and Friends!

Hey everyone. Thought I'd try to get a conversation going on the blog since it's been pretty quiet for a couple days. It cooled down considerably the past few days. Only got into the mid 60's today. The forecast was for 20% chance of a rain shower today so I didn't take an umbrella to work. Big mistake. The small chance of a shower turned into a couple hours of heavy rain that totaled over 8/10 of an inch. Got soaked leaving work this afternoon. Streets flooded. Yuck! Take care, all! Margie
